1) Cheap clients cost the most ( Fact ) If they haggle hard, undervalue your work, or want “mates rates,” they’ll drain your time, profit and sanity.
2)Your reputation is everything! Every job you do is a business card. Quality pays you back long after the invoice clears.
3) Systems beat skill, Skill builds great projects, but systems build great businesses. Some of the most successful companies I’ve worked with have incredible systems which made me realise I’d need to systematically improve or I’d be left behind. ( Brick by brick, something that you will always be doing. If you are not tech savvy now, you need to be)
4)Say no faster, The wrong job or wrong client will cost you more than the money you think you’re turning down.
5) Charge what it actually costs. Materials, overhead, your expertise, your time. If you’re guessing, you’re losing.
