This used to be a water feature with water cascading down the steps (long time ago). First image is before with plastic plants! Removed everything including the pebbles and decomposed membrane, refilled with top soil and compost, new membrane, the plant near the steps is Lithodora Diffusa (heavenly blue), that should eventually spill down the steps to mimic water. At the back I’ve planted a Cornus Sanguinea (winter flame), this will thicken out and have yellow - orange - red stems in the winter hence winter flame. A mix of grasses to fill in the rest of the space. Will give colour and movement throughout the year.

Now then, this was a challenge! This garden had been neglected for years, ivy and weeds and trees had taken over. I found two bird feeders and a wheel barrow in that lot. Now I’ve removed a couple of trees and all the nonsense, to reveal so much space, a couple of Acers and other shrubs/plants that have been in darkness for years. Now things are growing again and the garden is now clear to plant new shrubs etc,. Could have easily walked away from that job but the elderly owners were not in a position to do it themselves, I couldn’t leave them in that position. Should now have a garden ready for enjoying this summer. 🙏🌱😌

New customer in Swanwick, has an indoor Grape Vine which is decades old! Pruned it, de barked it plus a general tidy up this morning. I really hope it produces lots of grapes this year! 🙏😟
