Dalriada urgent care wish to extend their first responder scheme into the Swatragh area.....please see below:

Consequent to delayed ambulance response times in our area we are appealing to the community to support the First Responders.
They are a group who receive notification of selected ambulance calls in our local area and attend the Patients offering assistance where possible until the Ambulance Crew arrives.
The First Responders have access to or carry Defibrillators in addition to being trained in CPR and how to deal with a patient choking.
Response to the calls is completely voluntary but the First Responders have helped numerous Patients survive and live healthy lives who may otherwise unfortunately have been lost.

There may be grants available at the moment for the purchase of Defibrillators and it is hoped that applications to these will increase the number available
