A bit more painting tomorrow, after which my sardine oil painting is finally going on the wall. It’s been a very messy, six week long, expensive build with much now left to sort elsewhere. Ceilings, plastering and staircases, all slightly endless but the last pieces of what has been a very complicated renovation jigsaw. It’s taken a long time, but we’ve finally managed to maximise every square inch of what was essentially a 2 bedroom house and make it work for four adults and a horse sized dog.
The new lights and shower are still to be fitted when the plumber returns, (tiny, insignificant details, I can happily live with a flushing toilet 😊). We’re also making ourselves a slim, curved bathroom cabinet with fluted glass, so we absolutely never choose the easy option but where’s the fun in buying it in? It’s not going to stop me lining up plants on the tall shelf above the eventual shower though.
Back to work on Monday, another Dibber kitchen in the making. We’re looking forward to that, but it really has been nice to stop and do something major here. We finally have a second bathroom, windows next.
