Headed off from the badlands weekend after some excellent music and headed off to mojacar rather than wild camping a few of us decided to head for a campsite with lovely showers and a swimming pool to ourselves ( so nice after all the dust in the desert)

So it was goodbye to Portsmouth and 36 hrs on the ferry, before arriving at Bilbao in the dark Tuesday morning. Then a 2.5 hr drive to Sad hill cemetry and meeting up with others from the The Badlands Weekender

Just leaving swindon heading to oven Camp Site at Portsmouth ready the ferry to Bilbao tomorrow. The convoy are then heading down to sad hill cemetery (the only desert in Europe and the location of many spaghetti westerns filmed in the 70s ) from there we head off to the Spanish 4x4 exhibition and Badlands Weekender at ROUTE 66 Tabernas this is just down the road from the world-famous attraction - MiniHollywood Oasys. Final destination is the music Mile at mojaca. Then the long drive back returning to uk about 31st October

So yesterday we had the rain today was extreme winds. Good job the awning straps and the "wind reducer" held up and meant i could have my awning up all day. My concern was the fabric and will it hold up. Well i can say at the end of the day all was intact

They are not sunshades today. They are rain deflectors instead, as you can see with the rain today the first 18 inches got a little bit of spray but the rest of the space under the awning is still dry.

All set up at the Malvern show if you look in the guide it says I’m on Stand nine but I’m actually on Stand 38 opposite the big hangers
