As we have just passed out first-year milestone, we honestly cannot believe how far we’ve come.

It hasn’t all been easy. Our van recently completely conked out, which has made the past few weeks incredibly stressful.

But one real saving grace has been our catios.

They’ve become increasingly popular throughout our first year, and in the last week, we did something incredible! - We built in just a week, 2 whole catios! (Absolute madness!)

We’ve realised that lots of people across Swindon and the greater Wiltshire area, are looking for a reliable local company that offers bespoke cat enclosures as a proper service.

We don’t simply assemble ready-made catios bought online. Every enclosure we build is designed specifically around your home, garden and cat.

Our catios are built using quality, treated and weather-protected materials, with secure cat-safe mesh and a strong structure designed to last.

We can also include shelving, climbing areas, cat ladders, artificial grass and other features to keep your cats safe, happy and entertained.

Well… the Tooligans van has officially had enough 😂

We always knew this day would come, but we didn’t expect it to go full comic book explosion on us.

One minute we were on the way to another job, next minute the van decided it wanted early retirement.

Thankfully, Jack and Lewis are still alive, slightly emotionally damaged, and currently accepting thoughts, prayers, and recommendations for vans that don’t explode.

Business is still running as normal, we’re just having to juggle things a bit while we sort out new wheels.

So if you see us turning up in something random over the next few days… no you didn’t.

Tough day today.

The Van finally croaked on us, and we don't believe that we'll be able to afford to save it this time.

On the way back from the commercial tip in Wootton Bassett Crapper & Sons Landfill Ltd, we got to Swindon road, (up by the beef eater) - just at the traffic lights, the van was having problems that day, and it stalled at the traffic light.

Once it stalled, the van didn't turn back on, it was completely dead.

In the middle of the road, right by the traffic lights, we had to put on the hazards, and push the van out of the road to safety onto the grass.

Thanks to some helpful people, a (a man on a bike, and one from a car, helped me push the van onto the grass, so we could let traffic come through again.

While we was sorting out what our next plan of action was going to be with getting it towed back to where we store our van... this woman showed up at our door, and gave us some water.

It was an extremely hot day, (probably the wost to break down in) but that water was extremely helpful, and gave us some hope for us on a difficult day.

In bad news though, the van, after owning it for a year now, has finally died, the repairs would be too dear on us, and so we'll have to figure something out in regards to a new van.

We'll see how it all goes, and we'll be sure to keep you all updated!

Exactly one year ago today, Lewis and I founded Tooligans.

It has been such a journey, one that Lewis and I still can’t fully fathom that we’re still here today, thriving with our business.

We’ve built up an absolute plethora of extremely positive and detailed reviews from our customers, excellent word of mouth, and even just looking back at some of the jobs we’ve done, it honestly blows our minds.

If you told me a year ago, or even two years ago, that I’d be out building massive cat enclosures, running a business, owning a van, and becoming known around Swindon for providing this kind of service, it just wouldn’t have registered with me.

Lewis is in the exact same boat. We both really can’t wrap our heads around it.

But from the beginning, all we’ve done is try our best, be open, upfront, honest, and provide the best quality service we possibly can.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, we really want to say thank you to absolutely everybody who has believed in us, booked us for a job, left us a review, commented on or liked any of our posts, or even just shared us around, whether that be through word of mouth or through social media.

Thank you so much.

It’s our first year, and I’d like to say we’re fully, properly established now, which is absolutely wonderful.

We’re still a young company though, and we’re always trying our best.

So yeah, thank you again to absolutely everyone who has supported us.

🛩 Holiday Time! 🛩

That’s it, Lewis and I are officially switching off for the week.

Almost a year ago, Tooligans started with a couple of hammers, a spirit level, and a big idea. Since then, we’ve worked unbelievably hard to build this business into what it is today.

From all the different jobs, late-night quotes, constant messages, phone calls, weekends, evenings, and everything in between, we’ve put everything into growing Tooligans and building a reputation we’re genuinely proud of.

The reviews, recommendations, and support from everyone have honestly meant the world to us, and we’re so grateful to every customer who has trusted us so far.

Now it’s finally time for us to take a proper break.

We’re away from today, 4th May, which is also just so happens to be Star Wars Day 😅🤣 (May the 4th be with you!) And we’ll be in Cyprus until we’re back on the 11th.

You’re still welcome to message us through the usual places, WhatsApp, Facebook or email, but we won’t be replying until we’re back home.

We’re extremely excited, and I’ll make sure to take plenty of photos from the trip to share once we’re back.

🐾 Last Job Before Holiday: Cat Net Installation Complete!

Our final job before we head off on holiday tomorrow was this brilliant cat net installation for a returning customer.

We previously helped them with a waste clearance job, and this time they asked us to make the garden safer for their cats.

We installed cat netting all around the garden to help stop the cats escaping, giving them a safe outdoor space to roam around in without needing a full catio build.

It was a really fun job, but definitely a fiddly one in places. Some of the corners needed a bit of working out, but it all came together really nicely in the end.

And as we always say, because it’s always true, the customer was absolutely over the moon with the finished result.

A great alternative to a catio if you want to keep your cats safe while still letting them enjoy the garden.

😺 OUR LATEST CATIO BUILD!!! 😻

This customer already had a cat enclosure, but it wasn’t properly fixed down and had become awkward to use day to day.

We removed the old one, cut a proper access point into the brickwork for a door, and built a new bespoke cat enclosure using treated timber, galvanised cat mesh, and corrugated roofing sheets.

The result is a stronger, safer and more permanent outdoor space for the cats, with much easier access for the customer.

All waste from the old enclosure was removed and disposed of responsibly at Crapper & Sons Landfill in Wootton Bassett.
