Painter and Decorator Apprentice - HR Decorators
As a painting and decorating apprentice the main duties of my job included working hours on a construction site by the side of a time served pai
nter to learn and devolop the skills to become a painter and decorator. I spent my first year with numerous painters helping them to complete jobs on a refurbishment project run by Pendleton Together and Keepmoat Construction, this involved redecorating small apartment kitchens and bathrooms and also corridors within the apartment blocks that had been replastered. In this time I;
• Emulsioned Ceilings
• Emulsioned Walls
• Caulked new skirtings and woodwork
• Filled and Sanded walls
• Scraped and cleaned mold from walls and ceilings
• Stain blocked the above
• Complete Snags for the apartments for Site managers
• Undercoat Woodwork
• Gloss Woodwork
In my second year I was required to complete the above duties but on my own without the help of a time served decorator, which I found no problem in doing. I also had to complete work outside which include;
• Sand down metal work
• Undercoat metal work
• Gloss metal work

• Wall papering pattern and blow vinyl wallpaper
• Splicing Wallpaper
• Paint wallpaper
• Apply finishing touches to decorated rooms
• Apply paint to concrete and screeding floors
I fully completed my apprenticeship within this company and I am waiting to recieve my Qualification paperwork from Salford City College which i completed my coursework. Painter and Decorator Spring Resources Agency - Palace Hotel, September 2016 - Present
Employed by a recruitment agency working as a painter and decorator working on a bar refurbishment within the Palace Theatre Manchester. During my time here I have been decorating a bar and undergoing numerous painting and decorating duties such as;
