Farm Fencing was established 40 years ago when its founder member Jon (the fence) Matthews, manufactured and distributed fencing and gates from a cow shed on a local farm. Today, it is still owned and operated by the Matthews family, but premises have now progressed to their 18,000 sq ft large retail site and country store, located in Tadworth on the edge of Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey. fencing and country store selling to trade and retail, a wide range of fencing materials, garden buildings, animal feeds and accessories.

Yard Assistant / Delivery Driver (Yard Man)

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role combining yard duties, customer interaction, and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with day-to-day yard operations
Loading and unloading materials (heavy lifting involved)
Preparing and completing deliveries
Supporting customers with purchases and enquiries
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment

Requirements:
Must be over 21 years old
Full, clean driving licence (essential)
Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
Basic computer literacy
Retail or sales experience preferred
Experience in fencing or garden work is a bonus

What We Offer:
Full training provided
Friendly, supportive working environment
Opportunity to develop skills within the role
Salary to be discussed based on age and experience

Hours:
Full-time or part-time available
Includes alternate Saturdays

It’s been a busy one for our fencing teams on site lately…
6ft 6” high fence, fitted double gravel boards at bottom to allow customer to re level there current garden.

Extra gravel boards will retain the new soil added in garden.

Last year, our Sales Manager Dale was rushed into hospital with a very rare lung disease. Thanks to the incredible care he received, he’s still here today and now we want to help him give something back 💙

On Sunday 5th July, his wife Michelle and there 7-year-old son Jenson will be taking part in the London Bridges Walk in support of Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity.

The doctors and nurses there quite literally saved Dale’s life in September 2025, and they continue to support him as he live’s with a rare lung condition called autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP) which affects around 1 in 5 million people in the UK.

Every four minutes, someone in the UK loses a loved one to heart or lung disease. But together, we can help change that.
Every pound raised will go towards life-saving research, treatment, and support for patients and families facing these conditions.
