🌿✨ A trolley full of herbs and a very different kind of centrepiece.

These beauties are heading off to an event where they'll be decorating tables instead of cut flowers.

From the variegated leaves of sage, to the almost blue Quilquina, flowering herbs like Lemon Verbena and Camphor Thyme and feathery Fennels and Huacatay, there's so much colour, texture and scent packed into this collection.

What I love most is that at the end of the day, guests will be able to take a plant home and enjoy it for months (or years!) to come. 🌱

Plants that look beautiful, smell amazing and can end up flavouring your dinner? That's my kind of centrepiece.

Which one would you be hoping to take home? 🌿

Beautiful, useful and sustainable.💚

GOLDEN OREGANO

Pretty variation of oregano named for its beautiful golden foliage. A wonderfully fragrant plant with the classic oregano flavour.

In summer the plant produces masses of delicate edible flowers that are loved by a large number of pollinators.

Caring for this herb is extremely easy, it is suitable in any soil type or aspect and extremely versatile in use and also makes an excellent potted plant.

Leaves and flowers are often used in cooking sauces, especially those containing tomatoes, garlic and chilli. The leaves can also be used to flavour oils and vinegarettes.

There’s something quietly magical about culinary herbs 🌿

A pinch of rosemary can turn roast potatoes into pure comfort. Fresh Savory can make a simple tomato taste like summer. Mint with new potatoes, parsley scattered over supper—each leaf carries its own story, its own mood, its own little spark of transformation.

They don’t just flavour food—they elevate it. They remind us that sometimes the smallest ingredients create the biggest impact.

Next time you cook, slow down. Crush a leaf between your fingers. Breathe it in. That’s not just aroma… that’s centuries of tradition and a little everyday magic.

Tall, wild, and wonderfully productive — the Jerusalem artichoke is a must-have for any edible garden 🌱

Also known as a “sunchoke,” this hardy perennial is actually part of the sunflower family, producing towering stems (up to 2–3 metres!) and cheerful blooms before rewarding you with delicious underground tubers

🥔 Why grow it?
• Produces generous harvests with very little effort
• Thrives in UK conditions and tolerates most soils
• Perfect for low-maintenance, productive gardening

🍽️ In the kitchen
Its knobbly tubers have a rich, slightly sweet, nutty flavour — amazing roasted, blended into soups, or turned into silky purées

🐝 Garden benefits
• Tall growth can act as a natural windbreak
• Flowers support pollinators
• A great addition to wildlife-friendly spaces

⚠️ Top tip:
They spread enthusiastically, so plant them where they’ve got room — or keep them contained!

Whether you’re growing for flavour, sustainability, or pollinator power, Jerusalem artichokes are a brilliant addition to any garden 🌼

🌿✨ Meet the underrated garden hero: perennial leeks ✨🌿

Forget replanting every year… these beauties just keep on giving 🙌

Perennial leeks (like the wild Allium types) are basically the low-maintenance cousin of your regular leek — coming back year after year, multiplying into lush clumps, and filling your garden with that irresistible oniony-garlic scent 💚

💡 So what are they good for?
🌱 Endless harvests – snip leaves, bulbs, even flowers… they all pack that mild leek/garlic flavour
🍽️ Kitchen magic – toss into soups, stir-fries, salads or herb butters for a subtle savoury kick
🐝 Pollinator friendly – their blooms are a magnet for bees and other beneficial insects

Basically… plant once, eat forever 😍

If you love growing your own food but want something easy, resilient, and a little bit wild — perennial leeks might just be your new obsession 🌿
