Four new cottage-style doors fitted this week.

Finding suitable doors was key, as the standard 1981 × 762mm doors had to be reduced to as little as 1950mm high. The existing frames were also well out of level—the worst being 8mm out on the hinge side and a further 6mm on the handle side—so each door was individually adjusted to fit.

Finished with new hinges, handles, latches and a bathroom lock. Really enjoyed this one, and the new doors have given the home a much cleaner, more modern finish.

Bringing traditional sash windows back to life 🪟⏳
These windows were carefully stripped back, with the damaged timber repaired and replaced before being rebuilt and finished—preserving their original character while giving them a new lease of life. 🛠️

Bathroom Renovation | Before & After 🚿

A complete transformation to create a more modern, functional space.

For this project I carried out the strip out, wall preparation, plastering, wall panelling, shower tray installation, shower screen installation, splashback, bespoke boxing, skirting and all finishing carpentry.

To maximise the space, I brought plumbers in to chase the copper pipework into the walls, removing the old boxing, before they fitted the shower, toilet and vanity unit. The client will be fitting the radiator themselves to complete the room.

The result is a much cleaner layout with every inch of space put to better use.

Bespoke Rough Sawn Oak Thresholds

Handcrafted on site and made to measure, these bespoke rough sawn oak thresholds were designed to create seamless transitions between the existing brick flooring and the new floors throughout the property.

As part of the project, I also supplied and fitted the skirting boards and architrave, completing the openings between the hallway, bedroom and bathroom.

Keep an eye out for the bespoke loft hatch from this project—it’s one of my favourite details.

One minute it’s a brick wall… the next it’s a brand new entrance. 👌

Really happy with how this one turned out. A new opening cut into the existing brickwork, finished off with a new uPVC door that looks like it was always meant to be there.

It’s transformations like this that make the job worthwhile.

This job started with knocking through an existing blockwork opening, carefully keeping everything square and tidy. Once the opening was ready, I built a bespoke loft access door from scratch to fit perfectly, giving the client easy access while keeping it neat and secure.

It’s always satisfying taking a job from demolition through to the finished detail—sometimes it’s the smaller jobs that require the most precision.

Great few days helping out on this roof extension and getting the timber work moving along. This wasn’t my project, but I was pleased to be part of the team and contribute to the build. Always good to work alongside skilled trades and see it taking shape. More to come from this job!

This one turned into a lot more than just a kitchen replacement.

Once the old kitchen was removed, it became clear the floor needed attention too, so it all came up. The floor structure was strengthened to get rid of the bounce before any of the new kitchen could be fitted.

A lot of the work that makes the biggest difference is the stuff nobody ever sees once the job is finished.

After rebuilding the floor and getting everything ready, this stunning blue kitchen was fitted and finished off.
