Ainmean-Àite na h-Alba Ainmean-Àite na h-Alba (AÀA) ~ Gaelic Place-Names of Scotland ~ is the national advisory partnership for Gaelic place-names in Scotland.

Our purpose is to agree correct and consistant forms of Gaelic place-names for maps, signs and general use. We draw on the expertise of our member organisations, local knowledge and historical sources to agree authoritative forms of Gaelic place-names. Our Gazeteer for Gaelic Place-names is available on our website. This database offers definitive forms which can be used by local authorities, the
