Hey, everyone! Just a heads-up: We will be closed on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of May as we gear up for the European Locksmith Federation Convention!

Why is this important? Because auto locksmithing is an ever-evolving field that requires us to stay ahead of the game. Attending events like these allows us to witness amazing demonstrations on cutting-edge equipment, connect with our fantastic suppliers, dive into valuable training sessions, and network with fellow auto locksmiths from all over Europe.

Every day truly is a school day for us, and even after a decade in this business, we're still learning new tricks and techniques!
We can't wait to share what we learn with all of you when we return!

It’s never a good day when your only car key just decides it doesn’t want to work. Unfortunately that’s exactly what happened to one of our customers today!

Their only remote key just suddenly stopped working, and while there manual door lock turned both ways with the key blade, it just wouldn't unlock the vehicle. With only one manual lock on this car and it being deadlocked, we knew we had to think outside the box!

Fortunately we knew exactly what to do and set to work to turn the key in the ignition from outside the car and release the central locking without causing any damage to either the vehicle or the key. 🙌✨ once we gained entry we successfully resynchronized their remote key! Removed and repaired their door lock and also provided them with a new spare remote key. All for less than the quote they had been given by the main dealer just for a spare key 🔑

Ever wonder what a week in the life of an auto locksmith looks like? It's a rollercoaster, that's for sure! 😅 Even after 10 years, I still find this job so rewarding. Some days are head-scratchers 🤯, but the constant learning is a huge bonus!

This past week has been a real mix – from dealing with completely lost keys to refurbishing old ones, programming spares, and even tackling instrument cluster faults that were stopping vehicles from starting! I haven't had an ignition barrel to strip and repair *yet*, but hey, it's only Wednesday!

It’s been an ignition barrel sort of week for us this week, several Vw, Ford and Nissan ignition issues all repaired without the need or cost of having to have new keys supplied and programmed.
If your cars ignition is a little stiff, your key blade is snapped in the barrel, you have to wiggle the keys to get it to turn or even if it’s given up completely and will not turn. Hate using automatic car washes but the workhorse needs a shower to get the mud and salt off so she can get some new signage then back to having a proper clean and detail with Big D-tailing in two weeks.

Tested a remote key battery today at Urey's Street Food so I had the perfect excuse to get some lunch….chicken korma with extra fruit and coriander. Absolutely gorgeous as usual. Thank you Norma Urey for dinner and calling us to take care of your car keys.

All keys lost completed today on a Landrover Discovery 3. These and the Range Rover sports can be quite a complex job when you have broken Or lost your only keys. Whereas if you have a working key you can get a spare for a third of the price.

Well it’s been a busy 5 weeks of the school holidays with my little sidekick helping but it’s time for a two weeks off now. We will be closed at 5pm today and will reopen at 9am on the 9th September 2024. We’re we will be opening with a special spare key offer to celebrate 10 years of trading. Thanks Gemma
