Due to a bad experience with a previous customer not paying me for work carried out, from now onwards:
• I will visit your property and will give you a free no obligation quote. You DO NOT have to agree to this. You can always look elsewhere to receive various quotes for what you want doing!
• Once a quote has been given, I will write down what work we have agreed for me to undertake in your garden (via message or in person) and you will have to agree to this and agree to the price given.
• When work is completed, pictures will be taken to document all work done to your garden and you will have the opportunity to say if there was anything else you wanted doing.
• When job is completed, payment MUST be provided within one hour of me leaving your property, via bank transfer or cash.
You will have an invoice provided to you.
I don’t like to have to do this as I feel like most of it is common sense but due to a previous customer refusing payment for something that was verbally agreed. Also, I have done jobs for a previous customer on a Saturday and the customer without warning say they aren’t paying until Monday. It’s unacceptable.
This is really damaging to business and doesn’t help as times are hard right now all round!
But to cover both parties, I feel this is the way forward.
