This week's was a classic and my favourite

Victoria Sponge

Here are a few tips for getting the perfect sponge....

πŸ“Make sure your butter is "squidgable" if you squeeze it lightly it would hold an imprint. Spreads are actually the best texture for a cake just not the best flavour

πŸ“Use the right size tin

πŸ“Cook at 170c most ovens 180c is on the hot side πŸ”₯

πŸ“Set a timer and beat for 1 minute

Blessed Doughnuts

This was actually from a few weeks ago, with half term I have been so busy I haven't had time to do the voice over 🀣 looking at them now makes me want to get the fryer out again

Absolutely delicious 9/10 I think they deserved a 10/10 but maybe I am biased......

I choose raspberry jam for the filling. What would you put in yours? Strawberry Jam? Custard? Nutella??

This is a real help to me when my brain is scrambled 🍳

Having the items broken down into sections

πŸ₯¦ Fresh
❄️Chill
πŸ₯«Dry
🧻Other

means you don't find yourself in the freezer aisles having forgotten the bread at the other end of the supermarket β„οΈπŸž

Full credit to lovely Katey who taught me this list hack πŸ›’

🍫✨ BLESSED BROWNIES ✨🍫

This week’s feature went down an absolute treat with my church mum group πŸ™ŒπŸ€Ž
Ultra gooey, rich, chocolatey brownies with that dreamy crackly top 😍

My TOP brownie tips πŸ‘‡
🀎 Use a mix of caster sugar + brown sugar for the perfect texture
πŸ₯š Beat your eggs for 4–5 minutes until thick and pale β€” this is the secret to that shiny crackle top ✨
🍫 Keep your chocolate chunks CHUNKY so they stay melty and gooey instead of disappearing into the batter πŸ˜‹

The verdict from the mums? πŸ‘€
Let’s just say there weren’t many crumbs left πŸ˜‚

Would you try these?
Comment β€œRECIPE” below and I’ll send it over πŸ“©πŸ«

πŸ…Drizzle over with plenty of olive oil, salt and brown sugar

πŸ…Roast for 20 mins at 200c

πŸ…Add a whole boursin and bake for 20 mins

πŸ…Add a tin of tomatoes and 2 tins of water, splash of balsamic and extra seasoning

Blitz till smooth 😘
