Another year another reapproval on the ArbAc scheme. This will be our third year as approved contractors. As a member of the scheme we've put a lot of work in to ensure we maintain the high standards expected of us and inturn raising the value of the industry.

Did you know to remain compliant as part of the scheme we have to undertake yearly audits to ensure our standards remain high across every aspect of our company. These checks ensure that our customers are getting the very best and that we are upholding the standards of the Association and the industry.

I had to do a u turn and get an opportunity to capture this infestation by spindle ermine caterpillars 'yponomeuta cagnagella'

Whilst an alarming sight most plants can cope with a one off infestation.

It's a fantastic example of nature doing its thing and too good not to be shared!

On my way to undertake some surveys today and came across this in the carpark of a busy motorway services.

A good reason to have regular tree safety surveys carried out. This was the decamping area for the coaches and had clearly fallen into the risk zone before being dragged back.

The heavily included union and aerial roots would have been an obvious indicator of an issue that needed addressing to a surveyor and this potential risk could have been highlighted and avoided.
