Must be Gas Safe registered and have boilers, cookers, fires, pipework, and unvented cylinders certification. ASHP service & maintenance, would be a benefit but not essential

The engineer will be required to attend various sites within the home counties to carry out a multitude of different tasks. These will include servicing, repairs, Plumbing installations, general maintenance and commissioning of appliances.

The ideal candidate will have experience with all current British plumbing and heating systems along with good product knowledge of system installations including un-vented cylinders, gas installations.

You will be provided with a company vehicle, fuel card, iPad along with any necessary training.

Project Manager - Mechanical
Project Manager
The duties of your role are, but are not limited to:
Supervision of Quality
Workmanship carried out by the engineers must be checked for quality and correctness. It is your duty to ensure that substandard workmanship is not accepted, and this should be constantly monitored, particularly at the start and the end of the projects. Good workmanship is key to successful projects and it is paramount that you ensure the level of quality is acceptable both to the company and the contractor that the company is employed by. Poor workmanship should be corrected and/or reported to up line managers
Quality Assurance
As a measure of quality, it is expected that you are provided with the necessary test certificates from the site engineers to satisfy you that the necessary testing and proving has been carried out on the sites in all areas. If the engineers do not provide you with these, it is your duty ensure that they test the necessary pipework and supply you with the certificates duly signed by the relevant parties. You are required to ensure that the certification is passed back to the office as a record for the future.
Contractual Matters
It is part of your duty to have a sufficient knowledge of the site requirements. This means that the particulars of the contract, which can be found in the office file and on the server, need to be reviewed and checked against the installation on site as it progresses to ensure that we are compliant with the Employers Requirements and the Specification and drawings.
It is your duty to communicate with the contractor’s site management teams to such an extent as is required to enable to contract to be completed to their requirements and the required program dates.
All cross boundary communication between the site teams and Anders office staff is essential.
Resolution of on-site issues
It is your duty to investigate, consider and resolve all on site issues and problems that arise. These should be expedited in such a manner as to cause the least inconvenience to the contract and the employer.
Resolution of contractual issues such as payment and contract related disputes will be resolved by the contracts manager and the company management team. On site issues that you are unable to resolve must be highlighted to the office management so that they can be dealt with without delay.
Variations
Works carried out that do not form part of the company’s contract must be charged for. It is your duty to ensure that these works are highlighted to the office. A schedule of time and materials must be provided to Clive Headland enable the company to price for, and get agreement to, prior to the works being carried out. Works should not be carried out unless the contractor has provided the relevant paperwork and instructions. A site instruction does NOT suffice as an agreement of/to cost.
Stock and Materials
It is your duty to monitor the stock of materials on all sites and ensure that they are kept in a safe and clean manner, and ensure that all the site containers are not overstocked, to liaise with the company buyer if materials and products need to be returned or collected. Materials delivered in error must be reported immediately to the buying team and collected or returned. Company tools and equipment/hire equipment must be looked after by the engineers, it is your duty to ensure that when these products are no longer required for use that they are returned to the office and booked back in with the buying team.
Materials required for the site must be ordered in a timely manner to avoid panic buying. The requirement for materials needs to be communicated to the buying department well in advance.
Communication
Communication is key in this role. It is important that you communicate well with your site teams to ensure that they are doing exactly what you expect from them. It is also imperative that you communicate with the contractors on the site to ensure that they are kept informed at all times.
If communications are sent to you, you must respond in a timely manner. If you are unable to respond or deal with the issue in hand then you must seek advice from the office management teams.
WIP
Stock and Work In Progress figures must be produced at the end of the month by the contracts team. It will be your duty to assist the office management with the required information to allow these figures to be submitted.
Labour Budget Expenditure
It is your responsibility to supervise the labour on site. It is also part of your role to ensure that the labour expenditure does not exceed the budget for the project. This is done by ensuring that the contractors are on price work, or that the daily/weekly work carried out by all site teams meets the requirement for volume and quality.
You must ensure that the site engineers produce sufficient volumes of work to cover their day rate pay if they are not on price work.
You will receive monthly budget reports from which you will be able to monitor your labour budgets.
General Site Management
Your site should be managed to the extent that each site has a visit at least once per week.
The engineers and site managers need to know that you are in control and are aware of all issues and occurrences on the site. If you are unable to attend any site within this timescale for any reason you must highlight this with your up-line manager or the company management team.
If you feel that any site requires several visits per week for example start up / handover/ on site issues. Then this must be done. If you are unable to attend as regularly as required, you must highlight this with your up line manager or the company management team.
Written records should be taken of all site meetings that take place on site. Notes should be taken of your daily site visits to highlight areas that you need to work on when not on site. All details taken throughout the day must be actioned when you are back in the office or away from the site.
Completion of Contracts – Handover
Handover is a busy time for any contract. It is important that you ensure all required duties are organised and in place well in advance of the completion date. the following list, although not exhaustive, are some of the points to consider:
· Operation and maintenance manuals.
· Certification, Benchmark Books
· Commissioning of all items.
· Snagging completions.
· Valve labels and Charts
· Large Plant Commissioning
· Chlorination
· Extract Commissioning
· System Balancing
· UFH Commissioning
· Water Temperature Verification
Health & Safety
You must ensure that our engineers are working in line with our health and safety policy. Dangerous situations on site should be highlighted immediately to the site manager and engineers and operatives removed from the danger area. If you are not happy with any health and safety action from the site contractors, then this must be highlighted to Tim Anders.
You must ensure that the required PPE is available and used by all representatives of the company

After working closely with Deeley Construction Limited to provide all plumbing and heating systems, communal and residential mechanical ventilation, fire suppression sprinkler systems as well as 3x dry risers and mechanical control systems, we have finished this professional care home for Housing 21.

This development consists of 60 rented apartments and 20 shared ownership apartments for people over the age of 55. They will also have on site facilities which include a café/ bistro, hair salon and communal lounge for both residents, friends and family and locals.

It has been a pleasure working with Deeley Construction and their knowledgeable site team on such a prestigious project.

We are pleased to have started on the Bath Road scheme for Feltham Construction Limited. The redevelopment of an underutilised and prominent commercial site on a gateway route into Slough town centre.

The development provides a five-storey block of 75 one and two-bedroom apartments with under croft parking, bringing new residents to the location and helping to stimulate the wider regeneration of this area.

CUSTOMER CARE CO–ORDINATOR at their head office in Postcombe, Oxfordshire
The position responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will need to ensure control and management of various projects, Defects Periods, ensuring they are a tracked and planned in our Software (Commusoft)
2. Record all defects raised for the full contractual period, track and close these out within acceptable time frames, be responsible for maintaining regular contact with the customers post completion.
3. Liaise closely with the Customer Care teams in our Project data base.
4. Own all customer complaints and ensure they are acknowledged, investigated and resolved within target timescale.
5. Also Private Customer Boiler Servicing, Landlord Certification, UFH and Cylinder Problems
6. Logging of all jobs on new build site properties and private clients on our internal system
7. Co-ordinating with our service technicians on their diaries with regard to repairs via PDA diary
8. Monitoring customer service email inbox, administrating the internal system and keep up to date the records for customers/jobs.
9. Ensuring that all paperwork is filled into the customer profile
10. Dealing with customer queries & complaints
11. Escalating complaints to management where /when necessary
12. Updating internal data base
13. Liaise with accounts department on invoicing and contra charges
14. Creating invoices / send them out to customer and ensure that payment are taken by card machine .
15. Improving overall customer satisfaction in line with the targets set by the company
16. Providing quotes to the Clients by e-mail, obtaining approval
Ideally, you will have experience working for either a construction contractor, a housing association, subcontractors, house builder or a service & maintenance background
