What do you know about a Megaflo?

A Megaflo is a brand name for an unvented cylinder.

Unvented cylinders are mains pressure-fed cylinders and offer good flow rates of water to several different outlets at the same time. This assumes the water main is up to the task.

At Transgas Services we can come out with our flow cup and pressure reader and check your main can keep up with the demands of an unvented cylinder. If it can't, we are able to offer alternatives to boost the pressure.

An advantage of unvented cylinders is that they don't require a large water tank taking up space in your loft.

They also do away with noisy shower pumps so they can offer an ideal solution if the shower pump is waking the whole family up when the first shower is being drawn.

Gas safety checks in rental properties (including holiday lets): what you need to know:

A Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) is a legal requirement for all landlords in the UK. It confirms that the gas appliances (boilers, cookers, heaters) in your rental property have been checked by a qualified gas engineer.

Safety checks must be carried out every 12 months, but checks can be done 2 months before the deadline while retaining the original expiry date.

As a tenant, you are entitled to a copy of the landlord's gas safety record within 28 days of the inspection, and your landlord must provide you with a valid gas safety certificate before you move in.
