Lets talk handles ! There is so much choice in shape, colour, style that it can be overwhelming.

At Nü we have designed kitchens with pretty much any handle out there. We've learnt which ones work with which kitchens and we love to share this experience with our clients as we find it helps make the decisions much easier for them.

We posted last week about kitchen islands and how popular they are. However, in some spaces, it’s not always the best solution.

Lighting is such an important aspect in designing your kitchen. It can really make a kitchen shine, quite literally, if you make the most of natural lighting.

It affects how comfortable it feels to prepare food, how easy it is to find things and how the room transitions from a practical workspace during the day to a more relaxed, social space in the evening.

That’s why we consider lighting from the very beginning.

As we develop the layout, we think about where light is needed most, how natural light moves through the room during the day and how different areas of the kitchen will be used.

From there, we guide you through the options, helping you decide what will work best for your space and the way you live.

This might mean introducing subtle lighting within storage, soft lighting around seating areas or ensuring key work surfaces are properly lit without feeling harsh.

It is these quieter details, thought through early, that make a kitchen feel easy to use and comfortable to spend time in.
