4th bedroom out of the 5, I'm not trying to claim that it had gotten easy. But at least by then it didn't seem as daunting, as when Ifirstlookedat the job!

Phase 3:

Finally progressing to the finished article. Who'd of thought that so much work, would go into 1 wall?

Still, even if I say so myself, " the jobs a goodun ".

Phase 2:

After a great deal of " jiggery pockery", having to not only cunjour up datam points to a difficult angled wall with numerous depths to work from.

I also had to build out the existing stud work to give myself a chance to get the plasterboards as flat as possible.

Just aswell I Brough along a little helper.
(start em young... lol) Not only for the moral support, but of course to direct me onto how to do it properly!.. lol

Phase 1:

Since moving up North, I've experienced a number of tricky little projects that have pushed me to not only brush up on my repertoire of tricks of the trade, but to also learn new ones literally on the job.

The reasons behind this is working on old buildings, that have been renovated numerous times over the centuries.

This particular job the buildings where built way back in the 18th century. So for such a small area to end up plastering, there was a substantial amount of prep work that went into producing a quality finish.

So much so, this is the 1st post of a few to show what's involved to progress to the finished article.

Over my 30 years of experience, I've never been shy of takerling tricky angles or curves.

However I'm not going to lie when I took on this 5 bedroom project, it pushed my skill set to new levels!

Moral of the story " The comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing will ever grow there! 💯

Fixed some timber to match into the existing on-suit studwork.

Layed insulation though out, plasterboarded ready for applying 2 coats of finish plaster!
