I hope everyone is enjoying spring 🌞

This is my favourite time of day in the garden, dusk 😍

I've been working a fair amount on my garden for the past month or so completing tasks such as weeding, tree and shrub pruning, lawn aerating, seeding and feeding, filling multiple deep wholes left by an old pond, accompanying large filter and drain past the birch willow, ground leveling, pond cleaning and aquascaping, jet washing, creating new beds and planting new plants plus moving existing ones to more suitable positions. My front drive and beds have also been seen to.

Furthermore I've installed a tyre swing for my children and put up a tree hammock (between the birch willow and adjacent pine but both have been removed temporarily whilst the new grass establishes, much to my kids dismay)

I finally purchased a new mower too which I'm quite excited to use in a few weeks time 😁

Soon I'll be sharing some more before and after photos of other gardens that I've been working on 🌻

I started the year early on my garden. The chickens had been roaming free all winter and they made a huge mess. I've had a big tidy up, patio sorted, all old leaves gone and the pond has been cleaned out. I still need to trim some trees back in February and prepare the lawn. Then it's a wait for the warmer weather 🌞

I still have a few photos of jobs from last year to share here, things got a little busy.

The finished product 🐟🐠🐡

I built this raised sleeper fish pond recently to replace an old sunken pond that had seen better days. The fish have all been relocated along with the plants and plenty of established pond water/media 🪸

The 60cm water blade is fed by a pump via a pressurised filter canister (hidden in the box) with built in UV clarification to keep the water looking crystal clear. The timber was sanded smooth and finished with black Osmo UV protection oil ⚫

Im definitely looking forward to see how this pond progresses as nature takes its course 😍

These girls have been with us for over a year now. They had hardly any feathers and were so scared when we rescued them. Now they are happy, healthy and laying so many eggs too 🐔🐔

Speedy hedge tidy up ✂️✂️✂️

This hedge had grown a bit out of control, covering a road name sign, a junction box and a fire hydrant. I gave it a quick cut back.
This will soon encourage some fresh growth which means I can return next year to give it a more neat and tidy shape 👌

Had the pleasure of building this bbq prep station for my customer near Great Totham. The original plan was to just have the prep table with the slate chopping board as a side addition to the bbq. However upon stepping back once it was completed I couldnt help but feel like the table and bbq weren't as one piece. Then came the idea to wrap the timber around the underside of the bbq to bring it all together.

There were some tricky angles with this one on the table top (to match the patio underneath). The timber was sanded with various grits from low to high for am ultra smooth finish then treated with osmo oil uv protect.
Its come together and now looks like one solid unit. Very happy with this one 😁

Two of us revisited this garden the other day for its big tidy up.
We removed all weeds and unwanted growth , cut and re edged the lawn and turned it back into a garden to enjoy for the summer months 🌞🌻 Hard work but well worth it!

Our customer can now relax with the view from his newly oiled deck ❤️
