A smoother finish, in more ways than one 🌿

Using a fine grade topsoil, we carefully reworked the surface before reseeding to create a more even, consistent finish.

Not only will this improve the overall appearance of the lawn, but it also makes day-to-day use far more enjoyable — no more bumpy mower rides.

It’s a simple process done properly, with results that will continue to improve as the new lawn establishes.

If your lawn is feeling uneven underfoot, we’d be happy to help.

A simple transformation that makes a big difference 🌿

This small project in Tunbridge Wells involved converting a well-used veg patch into a clean, blended lawn area to better suit the clients’ needs.

We prepared the ground, levelled the area, and laid fresh turf to seamlessly tie it into the existing garden — creating a space that feels open, cohesive, and easy to maintain.

Not every project needs to be large to have an impact — sometimes it’s the smaller changes that make a space work exactly how it should.

If you’re thinking about reworking part of your garden, we’d be happy to help.

Another recent project where a patio space was given a new lease of life — both visually and practically.

We began by removing sections of the existing paving and failing foundations, before carefully re-levelling and relaying new slabs to create a solid, even surface throughout. The entire patio was then repointed with the addition of a new final step, bringing everything together with a clean, refreshed finish.

A key part of this project was the addition of a new raised bed, designed not just for planting but to act as a subtle and effective barrier — an important consideration for a family with young children.

It’s a great example of how thoughtful design can improve both the look and safety of a space, without compromising on style.

If your patio is starting to feel tired or uneven, we’re here to help.

A recent project in Tunbridge Wells where we helped bring both structure and purpose back into the garden.

Part of the existing stone wall had deteriorated over time, so we carefully rebuilt it to retain its character while restoring its strength and longevity. Alongside this, we introduced a new set of steps — not only improving access through the garden, but also helping to frame and define a new planting area the clients had envisioned.

It’s a great example of how practical features can also enhance the overall design, creating a space that feels both functional and considered.

We’re looking forward to seeing this planting bed come to life over the seasons ahead 🌿

If you’re looking to rework levels, improve access, or bring structure back into your garden, we’d be happy to help.

Driveway Transformation (Sevenoaks)

Another part of our recent Sevenoaks project focused on reworking a driveway that had become difficult to use day-to-day.

The original large gravel made walking uncomfortable and was constantly spilling out into the road. We stripped everything back, re-levelled the area, and installed a new granite set entrance to define the space properly.

We also introduced a new flower bed to soften the edges and replaced the existing gravel with a finer decorative stone — creating a much more practical, usable, and visually balanced, plus a newly built bespoke gate to add to the finish.

A simple change in materials and structure can make a huge difference to how a space feels and functions.

A recent project in Sevenoaks where we transformed a tired boundary into something both practical and visually in keeping with the garden.

The existing fence had seen better days — heavily worn, overgrown with ivy, and no longer doing its job. We carefully removed the old structure and replaced it with a new close board fence for strength and longevity, paired with a traditional picket fence to soften the look and maintain character.

The result is a clean, secure boundary that complements the space while standing up to the elements for years to come.

If your fencing is starting to show its age, now is a great time to get it sorted ahead of the season.

Wet weather? Your garden can still thrive.

With the amount of rain we’ve been seeing, it’s a good reminder of how important drainage, structure, and thoughtful design are in any garden. Excess water can compact soil, damage lawns, and put pressure on paving and planting — but with the right approach, it can be managed effectively.

A few key considerations for wet weather gardens:
• Free-draining surfaces and well-built foundations
• Proper ground preparation and drainage solutions
• Planting schemes suited to heavier or wetter soils
• Defined paths and levels to protect lawns and borders

Whether it’s caring for your garden during prolonged wet spells, or designing a space that’s built to cope with the British climate, planning makes all the difference.

🌱 If your garden struggles in wet weather, we’re always happy to advise.

Recent Project: Fruit Tree Trellis

We’ve recently completed this fruit tree trellis — and even managed to do it during one of those rare, very welcome spells of good weather. Safe to say it was appreciated by the team as much as the garden.

As well as looking great, trellising fruit trees is a practical way to train growth, maximise space, and encourage healthy crops for years to come. A simple feature that adds structure now and plenty to look forward to come harvest time.
Here’s hoping the sunshine sticks around… 🤞

Project Spotlight: Bespoke Greenhouse

We’ve recently completed this bespoke greenhouse for one of our long-term clients, no small feat given the weather we’ve had over the past few weeks. Wind, rain, and everything in between certainly kept us on our toes, but the end result made it well worth it.

Designed to suit the garden and how our client grows and uses their space, the greenhouse blends practicality with thoughtful craftsmanship and sits comfortably within its surroundings.

It’s always a pleasure working with returning clients and seeing projects like this come together, whatever the weather throws at us.

Project Spotlight: Bespoke Terraced Garden

This recent project transformed what was once a difficult, hard-to-use garden into a practical and beautifully structured outdoor space. By carefully introducing terracing, we were able to improve access, usability, and flow — turning a challenging layout into a garden that can be enjoyed every day.

Each level was thoughtfully designed to balance function and aesthetics, creating distinct areas while maintaining a seamless connection throughout the garden. The result is a space that feels considered, usable, and perfectly suited to our client’s lifestyle.

Projects like this show how the right design and construction can completely change the way a garden is experienced.
