Hi everyone!

As some of you know, I’ve been struggling of late with arthritis in my hips which has led to me having to postpone some jobs.

I wanted to apologise, but also to thank you all for your understanding.

I love coming to visit my loyal customers, old and new, and helping you all achieve your vision for your homes and businesses.

I hope to be back with you all fully soon, but for now please do continue to drop me a message or give me a call and I’ll be honest with what I can currently do safely.

Thank you again, Paul 🛠️

I am amazed how time flies and I move from one job to the next, the trouble is I forget to put up the posts.
Last week I spent a couple of days on banister work, originally the customer had old style mahogany banisters, spindles and newel posts, which made the hallway very dark.
So apart from retaining the newel posts which were sanded back to take away the old stain varnish the rest was completely removed and replaced with new pine ones.
I would take the credit for the painting, but that was done by the customer, the whole thing has transformed the hallway though.

Well, it’s been some time since I put up a post.
I have been busy building pergolas, bathroom refurbishments and a couple of jobs that are being done in stages as space and customer availability dictates.
But this week was a nice change, I have been laying flooring; something I haven’t done for a couple of years. The flooring flows through the hall and into the living room. It was nice to lay although there was a lot of doorway’s. It was finished off with white painted beading which was a nice touch.

Evening all!

I’ve tried my best to avoid this, but unfortunately with the continued increase of pretty much everything in our economy, from 1st April 2022 I’ll be increasing my hourly rate to £16 per hour.

I hope that you all understand and I look forward to your continued support.

Many thanks, Paul

Well last week was certainly a busy week
Monday was spent creating this awesome one off fireplace in reclaimed oak.
Tuesday I fitted these kitchen worktops which I made from reclaimed scaffold boards.
Wednesday was back to the workshop so I could catch up with sales from grandads gifts.
Thursday and Friday morning I spent designing and constructing a canopy in a small courtyard area for a bike store.
Friday afternoon it was back to a job I did the week before, I built a stable in an old barn and it already needed another cubicle.
And no it wasn't a quiet weekend to rest. 😂

Back in the summer, I was asked to take on some works in a rural school.
The works included boxing in some I.T. Cables and heating pipes.
Once completed it was then a complete redecoration of the classroom and an anti-room which was attached to the classroom.
The before, during and after pictures show off the job quite nicely.

It's typical, when it's sunny, I get work inside but when it rains I'm outside and yesterday it rained.
However I battled on and completed this fence replacement for a very happy customer.
Here are the before during and after photos.

*AVAILABILITY*

I’ve reopened the books again after a very busy summer and I am now scheduling for October onwards. Whether the works are large scale renovations or small repair jobs in the Devon area, give me a call to discuss how I can help!

It's been a while, but this job required getting the tiling equipment out.
However before getting to putting the tiles on the wall, there was the task of getting the old ones off,(not too difficult). Then a little bit of plasterboard damage that had to be sorted out, as the before during and after pictures show.
Once that was done, then the job was fairly straight forward. Customer was away on holiday whilst I completed the job, however he was pleased with the end result when he got home and saw it for the first time.

Something different, these garage doors had seen better days along with the frame.
The customer didn't want anything different, just replacing in keeping with the original design.
Wasn't a lot of room left in the workshop.
Didn't come out too bad though as the before and after pictures show.

This week was something different, an old lath and plaster soffit had come to the end of its life so nothing for it but to rip it out and put something a little more modern and requiring less maintenance.

This is why I love doing what I do. It’s always wonderful to receive positive feedback from clients and seeing that they’re happy with what I have done for them, but to receive a card like this was just incredible.

Thank you to all my customers who have continued to call on me for help with their homes and livelihoods whenever needed.
