Decorating is rarely just about getting paint on the walls and depends in good preparation.
There can be holes to fill, skirting to secure, cables to reroute and tack down, peeling wallpaper to glue, mould to address, lots of pictures to rehang, furniture to work around and radiators to repaint.
White Dulux stain block emulsion was used on the ceiling and outer wall, Dulux satinwood on all the woodwork, Bedec Multi-Surface paint on the radiator and Johnstones Teal Topaz blue vinyl matt on the walls.

I am very excited! My new sink arrived from Morocco today and is gorgeous. I also love the ceramic beaker they sent with it as a thank-you gift. I will be mounting the sink onto the pine sideboard shown, which will be topped with tiles, as soon as I find some nice green tiles to match.

I am currently building a shed base and it occurred to me that I could create deck areas in the same way, keeping the wood off the damp ground and aerated. This one is 505 x 240 cm (approx. 17 x 8 ft) for a summerhouse/shed that will be 360 x 240 (12 x 8 ft) with a bit of a veranda. My neighbour’s cat Ronnie has been monitoring the situation!
