Happy Friday the 13th (2pm)
One of our customers were told their water bill was going up to £200 per month, and their usage hadn't changed.
We inspected the property in and found a huge ongoing leak. This had to be addressed immediately.
We accessed under the kitchen floor where we determined the leak to be, and finally found the old stopcock that fed the old kitchen (prior to an extension being built) still buried in the floor.
The copper pipe leaving the stopcock had completely disintegrated, leaving a huge leak pouring out under the house.
We've made a temporary repair, got the mains water re-connected, and returning next week to complete a full repair, including new concrete, levelling and new flooring.
One happy customer with water over the weekend.
