We have more than 35 years experience of looking after our clients’ pets and most treasured possessions, and we’ve completed over 90,000 bookings. The concept is simple: we provide a live-in service while you’re away, so your home is secure and well-maintained and

your pets enjoy companionship in familiar surroundings. We have an extensive network of homesitters across England, Wales and Scotland, all meticulously vetted and fully insured, and we provide 24/7 back-up throughout their stay. We care for homes that are awaiting probate, sale or repossession or are between tenants, and we offer civilised caretakers and site management for empty properties too. Homesitters can provide a homesitter at very short notice and for as long as required – from just a couple of days to months or even years. We normally have a two-day minimum charge, however we also offer a special one-day service for clients attending events such as weddings or funerals, so you can relax in the knowledge that your home and pets are in safe hands.

Is a big passion of yours travel?

Do you dream of travelling more without breaking the bank?

Meet home and pet sitters with Homesitters Ltd, Malcolm and Sue Horsup from Colchester, Essex.

After retiring at 50, this adventurous couple wanted more than just relaxation—they craved purpose, flexibility, and the chance to explore.

Since 2013, Malcolm and Sue have spent their summers sailing in France and their winters caring for homes and beloved pets across the UK.

“On of our biggest passions is to travel” Malcolm shares. Homesitting lets them enjoy new places, meet wonderful pets, and help owners travel with peace of mind. Sue adds, “We’re both very active and wanted something to occupy us in the winter. We didn’t want to be sat twiddling our thumbs". "Since becoming homesitters, we get our ‘dog fix’ every winter and all the assignments we do involve looking after dogs”; having now looked after over 30 dogs.

The trust element is so important; Malcolm says “Being a policeman comes with a high degree of responsibility and trust and it’s the same job requirements needed for home and pet sitting. Retired or recently made redundant and wondering what’s next?

Discover a new adventure with Homesitters Limited—just like Tim and Rosey Mackervoy did!

After long, fulfilling careers, Tim and Rosey were searching for a meaningful way to stay active in retirement.

In 2021, they joined Homesitters Ltd and found the perfect blend of flexibility, travel, and companionship.

“Our friends recommended homesitting, and it ticked so many boxes for us,” says Tim.

“We get to spend time together, explore beautiful homes, and care for wonderful pets—all while making a difference.”

Animal lovers at heart, Tim and Rosey missed having pets of their own but found joy in looking after others’ beloved animals. “

- Circle line
- Piccadilly line
- Metropolitan line (Baker Street–Aldgate)
- Central line (White City–Liverpool Street)

Other lines will run, but expect:
