🏛️ Project Update – Old Cloth Hall, Guildford

We’re delighted to be involved in the restoration of the historic Old Cloth Hall in Guildford, a remarkable building dating back to 1629.

Over the centuries, some of the building’s original architectural features have been lost, including the sections of the historic stone bay parapet.
As part of the restoration process, we’ve undertaken extensive research to understand how these elements originally appeared, drawing on historical records and architectural evidence.

This research has enabled us to accurately recreate the original stone parapet, ensuring that this important piece of Guildford’s heritage can be restored as closely as possible to its original form.

Projects like this highlight the importance of combining traditional craftsmanship with detailed historical investigation, helping to preserve our heritage buildings for future generations.

Proof testing being carried out on our Nottingham project to assist our engineers with restraint design. The testing has been carried out by our in house CFA approved testers.

A section of scaffold has now been removed at our Virginia Water project and what a fantastic achievement and great craftsmanship by the team! The project is looking fantastic and we are now on the final push for phase 1 with the team pushing hard to achieve key dates! Great work as always by the team. Working alongside PCS Brick and Stone Solutions to deliver this prestigious property!

Project Awarded ✅

All Saints church, Snodland

We’re pleased to announce that we have been awarded a new church restoration project, focused on preserving the historic fabric of the building and addressing areas affected by water ingress.

🏗️Scope of works includes:
• Restoration and repair of stonework across multiple areas of the church.
• Installation of new lime render internally to areas impacted by water damage.
• Improvements to external rainwater goods to prevent future ingress.
• Upgrades to external drainage systems, both above and below ground level.

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to heritage conservation, using traditional materials and methods to ensure the building is protected for the future.

We look forward to sharing progress updates as works begin.

Restoration work in progress at St Peter’s church in Walton-on-the-Hill 🏛️

Our steeplejack team has been hard at work carrying out essential restoration on this beautiful church, carefully preserving its structure while respecting its historic character. From high-level masonry repairs to detailed finishing touches, every step is about protecting this landmark for generations to come.

We had the honor of restoring this memorial stone within Rochester Cathedral.
It had been damaged due to poor sub-base and the general wear of the day to day movement within the Cathedral over several decades.

It was a challenge to get this put back together as it was in so many segments, but the guys have done an amazing job in the restoration.

This month, we celebrate five years of Prestigious Stonemasonry Ltd.

What began as a small stonemasonry company with a simple goal — to create quality work that stands the test of time — has grown into a trusted name with projects and partnerships we’re truly proud of.

The past five years have brought both reward and challenge. (And signs of grey hair) Like many small businesses, we’ve learned how difficult it can be to balance the artistry of our clients expectations with the reality of running a sustainable business. Finding that balance — between meeting expectations, maintaining standards, and ensuring long-term stability — has been one of our greatest lessons.

Through it all, our focus has remained the same: delivering craftsmanship that endures, building genuine relationships, and taking pride in every finished project.

We have some amazing projects lined up to see us through 2026 and more exciting news to follow in the new year as we continue to expand the growth for both and our sister company Prestigious .
