The original conceptual designs for Scarp House that take its inspiration from the nearby South Downs National Landscape have evolved since we first presented these visuals to our client. The team have been refining the landscape within which the form rests, overall performance of the structure and the architectural details as well as considering how it interacts with its adjacent neighbours. Out of settlement and with a view to improve and enhance the lives of its future inhabitants , we have all loved working with .projects client on this outstanding piece of architecture. as well as Rachel and Richard GTA Civils , David Parfitt , Brooke of , Ben , Emma and Daniel of !! A few months away from handing over this labour of love to our clients, 3 barns converted and connected through a link to create a family home like no other. Bespoke and unique it will make the most wonderful place for this family to live. We have enjoyed every minute of this journey, from the initial planning approvals , coordinated all the pre-construction information, assisting with the tender, introducing to our client to act as the QS, and ultimately working with the wonderful team at . Thank you to everyone from , manufacturing all the second fix items and running installations within the building. We are nearing the finish line now and I can’t wait to see all the ideas and decisions of the past 2 years come together.

All materials specified were from sustainable sources and manufacturers that had verifiable supply chains and we worked very closely with our clients to fulfil their wish for their refurbishment to be achieved in a sustainable way that aligned with their personal beliefs around sustainability, their families overall carbon footprint . This london extension and refurbishment is a testament that even residential architecture can be carbon neutral if the design team is committed to the cause.
