You can't compress your insulation and just put boards on top. It stops the insulation from working.
We did this properly and started again. We put in a lower insulation layer 100mm between the joist, then added a 200mm topper layer. Loft legs fitted to all the joists and then boarded in required areas. Perfect insulating job!! Nice and toasty!! A new larger loft hatch was also installed in a different location as the previous one was above the stairs and not safe.

A recent decorating job which was a LOT of work, with damp, mouldy ceiling, broken and cracked original coving, patch plastering and filling, peeling wallpaper, missing skirting boards, also added a ceiling rose with a new light for the final touch.

This bathroom use to have a bath! Lots of work to lower the pipes under the floor and moving joists and strengthening all again to make safe and secure to fit the shower tray so it isn't raised and sits on floor. All new shower panelling all around, new plumbing and pipework, radiator, new skirting and coving, ceiling decorated. Another full bathroom refurbishment.

Small bathroom, massive job!
All new walls and floor had to be installed before we even started anything else as was rotten or in a very bad condition. Lots of preparation work, new electrics, plumbing and moving soil pipes. A lot of effort but definitely worth it (in our and customers opinion!)

Full redecorations completed to this house. All the rotten wooden windows restored to there former glory.
The exterior masonry which was tired has been transformed.
All around the house the wooden fascia and soffits have been removed and replaced with timber looking PVCu fascia and soffits.
Another great job with an excellent finish.
