Bathroom tiles: harder than they look.

I searched high and low for the right tile — zellige, terrazzo, back to zellige again. Lots of second-guessing, a few moodboards, and more tile shops than planned.

Because this is the guest bathroom, the choice wasn’t just about what I loved. I wanted it to feel welcoming and considered for family and friends. I chose green zellige-effect tiles-calming and restorative, closely linked to biophilia and our natural connection to nature, making it a colour our eyes find easy to rest on. For me zellige effect tiles are an appreciation of the craftsmanship of handmade Moroccan tiles!

Im pairing them with a warm, subtle concrete / terrazzo-effect tile to keep everything grounded and practical. Quietly considered, and designed to feel good to use. Waiting for samples to arrive and will share soon.

For now, I hope you like the process — from browsing to pulling the scheme together.

Blinds are a great way to dress a window but I love the way curtains elevate the feel of a room! Not having curtains can give you more space in the room though but if you have the space, go for both.
