With all this rain, many gardens are waterlogged and inaccessible at the moment - especially on new build estates. Preparations completed this week for a new pathway to allow the raised planters (that we built in 2023) to be maintained without treading mud everywhere and ruining the grass.

Collaborating with Page Garden Services again, this time on a new-build estate in Crowborough.

With multiple plots to service, getting individual deliveries would be a nightmare to coordinate - almost inevitably resulting in a combination of double handling, surplus waste and / or a shortage of material.

4m3 of Woodland Mulch (2 loads) delivered and distributed today, in accordance with the Developer’s requirements.

That’s our Waste Carrier Registration renewed for another 3 years - enabling us to both generate and transport waste. ♻️

Don’t get caught out by firms who are not licenced to create or remove your waste! If it is found to be fly tipped, YOU are responsible. 🚫

We are capable of transporting up to 2 tons at any one time in our tipping cage-sided trailer, with a volume up to 5m3 (that’s more than a 6yrd skip!) 💪

Also available for delivery of materials and machinery. Plus, as I recently tested out, the 2 ton capacity and 3m bed length enables us to transport small cars!

Drainage installation… Our client in Uckfield had water ingress to their conservatory due to the external ground level being too high, and causing the floor to fail. 😔

Following remedial works being carried out internally under their warranty, we were tasked with installing a drainage channel to alleviate future issues. Wrapping around the conservatory, and connecting to the nearest surface water drain (the conservatory roof goes into a water butt, but wasn’t connected to a drain).

The old slabs were laid on dot and dab, so the ones we disturbed had to be lifted and relaid properly on a full bed.

We did the dig out and drain installation during the minus temperatures earlier this month 🥶, and went back today to relay the slabs and finish off as the temperatures have climbed sufficiently.

*All cement work should be carried out in temperatures of 5 degrees and above, else you risk the frost getting to it and freezing the water content before it’s cured.

Thankful for a break in the horrendous weather today, and teamed up with Page Garden Services to lay a path at a local National Trust property which they are working on.

Access was tight for deliveries and waste collections, so with the help of our trailer (and expert reversing skills - forgive me for blowing my own trumpet 🎺) we not only provided the landscaping skills needed, but also solved a few logistical problems for them too 💪🙌

Always a pleasure to work on fencing projects where the neighbours get along, especially when that means being able to complete works on both gardens at the same time. 😊

Another Durapost fence install using the galvanised posts with closeboard fencing option, and an oak sleeper retaining wall around the summer house. All for a lovely repeat customer, and their friendly new neighbours, in Uckfield.

Surface water drainage solution installed in Piltdown, included perforated sections of pipe to double up as land drainage, and laid to outfall into the ditch. Also regraded the garden after to make it more level for the ride-on mower.
