It’s Christmas Tree Harvest Time!

This coming Sunday 3rd December and Sat/Sun 9/10th December from around 10.30am come and choose one of my lush Nordmann Fir and I will cut it for you there and then.

I also have living trees for sale in various sizes up to around 5ft.

I have grown them myself in Blackshawhead/Colden and they are the most sustainable Christmas trees that you can buy (totally true!)

They are priced in the middle between ripp-off fancy garden centres and cheap as chips budget supermarkets. For example, a
typical popular size of between 6-7ft will cost from £45-£60 depending on shape, fullness and height.

For those that cannot make those dates, orders and local deliveries are available.

The post code is HX7 7HR. Turn onto Jack Bridge just below the New Delight pub, follow the lane for around 400metres and the trees are based on the right hand side just before Lower Strines Barn.

Magnificent Plant Sale on site Saturday 10th June 11am - 5pm

Large selection of cottage garden style bee loving plants available.
Everything is grown in Blackshawhead so is fully acclimatised to our weather!

I've also grown favourite colourful annuals such as cosmos and Lobelia etc which will be available as individual plants or six packs.

If you are not sure about plants or gardening I can advise you about what might work in your garden or backyard.

I’ve got a new friend. Barry, the Cockchafer (I kid you not!) came to visit my plant stall at Hebden Bridge market and has decided to stay. He’s still living in the Geum and came with me all the way to Elland and back today. Apparently, they only live for about 8 weeks so I think he’s going to be a really rubbish pet

The Lobelia is ready to go! Big clumps of upright Lobelia in 8cm pots for £1.50. Should keep flowering till early autumn
