Over the past two years, we’ve faced the heartbreaking loss of close family and made the decision that it is now time to prioritise George’s health over the demanding physical work at the Nursery. This year he’ll be turning 70 and recent health warnings mean we need to focus on his wellbeing. George has dedicated over five decades working with plants at Columbia Road and the Nursery and it’s time for him to retire and rest so we can monitor his health going forward. Consequently, the Nursery will close at the end of May. Regrettably, we won’t be able to offer our usual hanging basket service including refills and ready-made baskets. We understand this will be disappointing for many returning customers and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. However, we hope this early notice gives you ample time to make alternative arrangements. We will have a limited range of bedding plants in during this time. We will be closed on Thursdays.
