Bertram Thomas Smith started growing at Smith`s over 80 years ago. It all began with two small greenhouses, an old coal boiler to keep the plants warm at night and ten acres of land laid out to perennial wallflowers and roses. Smith`s Nurseries has come a long way since those early days, however our focus is still on complete customer satisfaction. Our success has been primarily created by our loy

al customers, by listening to their requirements, comments and advice we have established a garden centre to exceed all expectations. Bertram's cafe is a newer addition to the Garden Centre. Pop in for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea! We can take bookings for larger groups and children are always welcome. We have a beautiful cafe garden and when we get good weather at the weekends we will often fire up the barbecue. When it's cold and wet we can warm your hands with hot chocolate and home-made soup.
