Plantbase Welcome to the world of Plantbase. Like our page for information on rare and exotic plants that are available for every garden.

We also look forward to hearing from you. Plantbase was born out of a passion and love for plants. We are a 3 acre nursery in the heart of the East Sussex countryside. We’re not big and flashy, we just grow beautiful plants with love and care. From temperate to tropical, we supply garden enthusiasts around the UK as well as botanical gardens including the prestigious RHS Wisley and Kew Gardens. Ou

r reputation comes from our knowledge and the quality of our rare and exotic plants, resulting in bronze and silver RHS Medals, and hopefully, this year a Silver Gilt! We grow over 1,500 varieties from around the world, specialising in South African and Australasian plants. Our plants are tough, and ready for the majority of conditions the UK throws at them. They are forced to grow in very basic situations with the minimum of pandering to individual needs (in other words we use 3 types of growing medium, either in sun or part shade, and if it doesn't rain they all get tap water (if they're lucky) and if they don't like it tough! We are also trying growing techniques that haven't been tried before e.g recycling unwanted live plants back into newly potted up plants. Watch this space for more information! This Saturday, April 4th, join us at London’s Horniman Museum for our very first Easter plant fair! 🐣🐰🌼

Over twenty exhibitors will be joining us at the perfect time for introducing new perennials, trees and shrubs to your garden.

This event is held on a hard, level surface with refreshments on site. Walking or using public transport to reach the Horniman Museum is recommended.

We’re expecting it to be breezy on Saturday, so remember to wrap up warm and keep an eye out for updates in case we need to adjust our arrangements for the day.
