Oxford Community Gardeners OXCG OXCG strives to push boundaries.
(1)

We believe gardening and landscaping can go beyond spades and rakes and can be used as a catalyst for change right here in our very own communities. Our goal is to shoot two birds with one stone by making communities better aesthetically through our service and socially by creating work and training opportunities for the under privileged right here in Oxford.

Crazy to see the transformation already within 9 months. Sowed in autumn last year. 🌱

Less than a year later, a deserted plot of rubble has become a meadow alive with colour buzzing with life and bursting with endless blooms πŸŒΊπŸπŸ¦‹

To save time and effort, like the first time, we wedged 2 small pieces of timber and a ratchet to create small gaps in the sliding back door, allowing the self-binding gravel to trickle out slowly at the right amount as we moved along. The result was a light, thin spread saving slot of time and sweat πŸ’¦. Work smart not hard as they say πŸ€“

A garden we've had the pleasure of caring for over the years. Regular maintenance, careful pruning, deadheading, and attention to detail help keep it looking beautiful throughout every season.

The roses are putting on a spectacular display, with an incredible array of colours, fragrances, and blooms across the garden. 🌹 🌺

Surrounded by peaceful woodland, tranquil waters, and the sight of deer roaming freely, we couldn't help but feel like we were in our own little David Attenborough documentary... minus the narration πŸŽ™οΈ
