Job Completion Update – Exterior & Staircase Works
The restoration of this period property is now fully complete, with both the exterior and staircase finished to a high standard following thorough preparation and careful workmanship throughout.

Exterior Works Completed
All exterior rendering fully completed, bringing the walls back to a clean, uniform and durable finish.

The bay roof tiles have been painted red, giving the frontage a refreshed, traditional look in keeping with the property’s character.

All exposed timber and decorative features were stripped back, repaired, and stabilised before finishing.

High‑level work was carried out safely and efficiently with the support of SWL Scaffolding, now removed to reveal the completed exterior.

Staircase & Interior Completion
Old wallpaper removed and all necessary wall repairs completed.

New plastering by Brian Hedley has provided a smooth, solid base throughout the staircase area.

The top section of the walls has been lined with Wallrock, ensuring a reinforced, stable surface for long‑lasting finishes.

The bottom section has been finished with a textured vinyl, then emulsioned in the chosen colour for a durable, decorative result.

All woodwork has been fully prepped, filled, sanded, primed, and finished to a clean, professional standard.

Two‑Week Progress Update – Exterior & Staircase Works
Strong progress has been made over the last two weeks on both the exterior restoration and the staircase refurbishment of this period property. As always, all necessary preparation has been completed before any painting or papering, ensuring every surface is repaired, stabilised, and ready for long‑lasting finishes.

Exterior Works
All exterior rendering has now been completed, bringing the walls back to a clean, uniform finish.

The bay roof tiles have all been painted red, giving the bay a refreshed, consistent appearance in keeping with the property’s character.

Full preparation carried out across exposed timber and decorative features, with failed coatings removed and damaged areas repaired.

High‑level work completed safely with support from .

Once the scaffold is removed this week, the exterior will be fully completed and ready to reveal the restored look of the property.

Staircase & Interior
Old wallpaper removed and walls repaired.

New plastering completed by Hedley, giving the staircase walls a fresh, solid base.

The top section of the walls has been lined with Wallrock, providing a reinforced, stable surface ready for finishing with the new wallpaper

The bottom section will be finished with a textured vinyl, which will then be emulsioned in the chosen colour for a durable, decorative finish.

Another full interior transformation completed on behalf of Rise Developments. 🛠️
​This property started as a bare shell, with tired surfaces, visible knots in the timber, and uneven wall and ceiling finishes. Every area was fully prepped, repaired, and brought back to a proper foundation before any coatings were applied. 🧼🩹
​Walls & Ceilings: Finished throughout using Benjamin Moore premium paints, providing a clean, modern, and consistent look. 🎨💎
​Woodwork: Every trim, door, and bespoke kitchen cabinet was correctly knotted, sealed, and primed. Finished in Benjamin Moore eggshell, we’ve eliminated bleed-through and achieved a flawless, durable sheen. 🪵✨
​Architectural Details: A standout feature is the custom TV cabinetry in the kitchen. It’s designed to draw the eye naturally toward the hidden sunroom beyond—a detail that now feels intentional and refined. 📺☀️

Restoring a piece of local history. ⛪️✨
​We were recently called to the vineyard church, on the green , to repair a wall badly damaged by a long-term leak. Church interiors require a specific approach to ensure a lasting finish on older masonry.
​Our step-by-step restoration process:
1️⃣ Surface Prep: Scraped back all failing material to a solid base.
2️⃣ Stabilize: Treated the area with an Alkali Resistant Primer to neutralize the masonry.
3️⃣ Stain Block: Used Zinsser B-I-N to permanently kill those stubborn water marks.
4️⃣ Repair: Rebuilt the surface using Gyproc 45 for a smooth, high-strength fill.
5️⃣ Finish: Sanded to a seamless blend and finished in Dulux Matt for a classic, flat look.
​The wall is now fully restored and ready for many more years of service.
