A fire is reborn in the Longstone,having been closed up for thirty years.A smoke test was carried out on the chimney and a 48 inch "Lincoln" pine surround,granite inset and 48" granite hearth fitted,along with a new fireback,Queen Star All Night Burner and coal saver set.👍

Another reason to get a certified fitter to fit your stove and advise you on using the right fuel.The insulated pipe isn't far enough into the room.The plasterboard and insulation were tight to the pipe creating a fire risk.There should have been a gap around the pipe and a metal plate to cover the gap.The wrong fuel has overheated the stove and pipes resulting in new pipes and new internal parts needed.
