Did you know there is an opportunity this summer to experience one of Liverpool’s most stunning architectural treasures when the Hall unveils its magnificent Minton tiled floor at St George's Hall for an extended public reveal from 17th July to 2nd September 2026.

Usually protected beneath a wooden covering to preserve its intricate craftsmanship, the Minton floor is a fine and treasured example of Victorian design.

Comprising 30,000 hand crafted tiles, the mosaic has captivated hundreds of thousands of people over the decades, with its rich colours, classical motifs and remarkable level of preservation.

We received an inquiry from a client in Southport asking if we could clean and seal their Travertine tiled floor as well as filling the deep pits/holes. This is a common problem with Travertine which is well known for this feature and is usually available in a filled format where the holes come pre-filled from the factory. This filling however can degrade, and this can be exacerbated by using strong acidic cleaning products.

A previous customer got in touch late last year looking for help with a Quarry tiled floor he had bought at an old farmhouse in Ainsdale. Sandwiched between Southport and Formby the village is very close to the west coast which can bring its own issues.
