Proof that a quality paint job lasts! 18 months later and still looking like Day One...

It’s always a pleasure returning to a clients home in Stockton Heath—especially when they’ve asked me back to complete the last part the Hall, Stairs, and Landing.
I last painted their kitchen 18 months ago. Despite the hustle and bustle of a busy home, the finish looked as good as the day I left it. The only reason we touched it up was to match their stunning new kitchen install and fitters catching the walls!

Walls: The timeless 'Elephant’s Breath' (F&B match), mixed in Crown Clean Extreme for a scrubbable, hard-wearing finish.
Woodwork: Finished in Zinsser Allcoat Satin for that crisp, clean look.
Stairs: Banisters freshly varnished to highlight the natural wood.

Completed work this week
Thelwall - Lounge paper removal and repaint.
All surfaces filled and sanded, ceiling, walls and woodwork.
Ceilings painted with Zinsser Gardz sealer, then Dulux Ultra matt, my new go to ceiling paint.
Wall paint was mixed at Crown Decorating Centre in Crown clean Extreme Durable Matt. Colour 'Mr Clifton' which looks grey here but more Blue/Teal. Fantastic colour to paint with so smooth.
All newly plastered walls were sealed with Zinsser Gardz, also wall with paper removed.
Woodwork was painted in Allcoat Satin white.

All surfaces filled and sanded, ceiling, walls and woodwork.
Ceilings painted with Macphersons Eclipse matt.
Walls painted in F&B Borrowed Light 235 , which was mixed at Crown Decorating Centre in Crown clean Extreme Durable Matt
All walls were sealed with Zinsser Gardz and peel stop over some edges of paper.
Woodwork was painted in Allcoat Satin white

All surfaces filled and sanded, ceiling, walls and woodwork.
Ceilings painted with Macphersons Eclipse matt.
Customer wanted all the front room in F&B School house white 291, which was mixed at Crown Decorating Centre in Crown clean Extreme Durable Matt suitable and durable enough for the woodwork as well. For extra protection added a coat of matt varnish for the windowsill.
Feature wall was sealed with Zinsser Gardz before paper installation.

All surfaces filled and sanded, ceiling, walls and woodwork.
Ceilings painted with Macphersons Eclipse matt.
Customer wanted all the front room in Egyptian Cotton, which was mixed at Crown Decorating Centre in Crown clean Extreme Durable Matt suitable and durable enough for the media walls and woodwork. For extra protection added a coat of matt varnish for the horizontal shelves and windowsill.

Stockton Heath - Bedroom, Kitchen/Back room, Lounge

Bedroom
Prepared, sanded and filled all walls and woodwork. Some walls had damp issues and flaking paint. Stripped back added Zinsser Peel Stop, filled and added Zinsser Coverstain oil based as a protective barrier.
Ceiling with Macphersons Eclipse
Walls painted in Crown clean extreme matt tinted in F&B - Joas - 226.
Wallpapered Feature wall Wallpaper from lust home - Pattern - Seahorn Wallpaper in Earthy Orange, Pine and Chocolate £65.00 per roll

Front Room
Prepare, sand and fill all walls and woodwork
Paint Ceiling with Macphersons Eclipse
Painted walls Crown clean extreme matt, crown colour - Seldom Seen.
Alcove and coving in 'Cravat'.
Wallpapered Fireplace using Cole & Son - Pattern 'Summer Lily' - £181 per roll

Kitchen / Back Room

Prepare, sand and fill all walls and woodwork
Paint Ceiling with Macphersons Eclipse
Painted walls Crown clean extreme matt, 'Whirlybird' - F&B 309 and F&B Dappled Light'
Two feature walls wallpapered from lust home - Hello Petal Wallpaper in Smashed Avo and Mother Earth - £65.00

Painted all woodwrk with Zinsser Allcoat Self priming Matt white, durable and scrubbable unlike other Matt finishes.

It has been a hectic summer. I haven't really kept up with posting, so over the next few days I'll be posting the more interesting work I have finished.

Great Sankey - Mural in bedroom
All surfaces filled and sanded, ceiling, walls and woodwork.
Customer wanted all the the paneling in Lick colour Greige 01, but mixed at Crown decorating centre in Zinsser Allcoat Matt.
Ceilings painted with Macphersons eclipse matt.
Crown Clean Extreme Scrubbable Durable Pointing F&B 2003 for the walls.
Other woodwork was Johnstones Trade Aqua Undercoat and Satin water based paint.

Stockton Heath Lounge and en-suite

Lounge
Customer wanted all the walls and woodwork in the same colour, which was Lick Green 04, but mixed at Crown decorating centre in Crown Clean extreme scrubabble matt. This is tough and durable enough to be used on woodwork.

All surfaces filled and sanded, ceiling, walls and woodwork.

Ceilings painted with Macphersons eclipse matt

En-suite
The paint was peeling off the en-suite ceiling. Scraped it back, covered the ceiling in Zinsser Peel stop to seal the edges. The bare patches were filled and sanded with Toupret fine filler which doesn't show when painted over. Added a coat of Zinsser BIN 123 white sealer and 2 x coats of Zinsser Perma white mould resistant paint.

Lymm - Large Lounge.

Customer decided they wanted the room papering and chose Zoffany - Shagreen. Really good quality heavy paper. Even though there was no pattern match it was a challenge. Lots of cuts and corners, hardly any straight pieces.

All surfaces filled and sanded, walls and ceiling were sealed with Zinsser gardz.

Ceilings painted with Tikkurila Anti Reflex White 2

All woodwork painted in Zinsser Allcoat Satin white, Self Priming.

Hall, Stairs and Landing painted with Crown Clean Extreme Durable Matt - White. Doors and woodwork painted in Johnstone's Trade Aqua Guard Durable Gloss. The staircase changing from a brown gloss varnish to a black satin finish with Zinsser Allcoat self priming paint.
