Well this is rather prolific posting for me twice in a month.

A busy few days looking at new work. New fees submitted for some really interesting projects. Doing what we love. Conservation work.
Another project to look at on Friday. A listed building in City Centre Salford. Re-roofing and stone repairs. Embracing any opportunity to work with the original fabric of our past.

Progress continues to go well on our south cheshire residential development and west chesire leisure development.

Looking forward to a more stable new year. Nearly time to relax.

Site work has been slow over the past months. Its good to see that some jobs are now coming to fruition. Phased completion of this major refurbishment in South Manchester has started with the most important room in the house. Our client wanted a light and airy space. Simple modern kitchen and neutral finish.

A busy few days. Ive closed the office and will carry on from home for as long as we are advised. Today Im looking going to sit down and refresh my memory. A bit of further research for a potential job. Love traditional structural carpentry it has become a bit of a specialism along the way. Heritage work is our fortè.

The weather and high river levels have halted progress on 3 current projects. Flooded cellars and inaccessible roads. Tentatively bringing jobs forward in the programme to fill the forced downtime. It doesnt bode well for us in a couple of weeks when all hopefully back to normal. Busy times ahead.

Oh......and its stopped me going fishing!!

Meetings for meetings and a scheme for local Charity finished over the last week.

Contacted the other day by an old client who appointed us to take the scheme to construction drawing package only. I was asked if we would alter the scheme drawings to reflect a number of design changes.

The information was required to allow the builder to submit additional costs.

All in all probably a days works for me. I told him I would get back to him with a fee.

His expectations were that we would revise drawings for free. I'll refrain from finishing the story.

A day of fee bids today with a big fingers crossed on one of them in particular. Been asked to attend client board meeting tomorrow morning so this afternoons plans are now put on back burner until at least tomorrow afternoon.

The rest of today is all about preparation for this unscheduled meeting.
