This week we managed to visit one of our earlier projects, extension and remodel for a young growing family.
They came to us with a different and larger brief, but through our experience and detailed client consultations, we have managed to adjust the initial brief to achieve permission, meet clients’ requirements and save cost in the process.
Architects do a lot more than draw plans. The experience and knowledge lets us always consider the big picture a choose the most effective way to achieve our clients’ objectives.

Contemporary designs in conservation areas work. This new build family home replaces existing bungalow on the site. The design was carefully considered, with external materials, volumes, proportions and scale reflecting the surrounding properties whilst the scheme delivers a highly sustainable timber frame home close to passive house standard.

A small project in south Manchester where we tried to make the most of the narrow site. The utility is cleverly tucked in and doubles as a hallway and corridor into the main living space. The clients are happy they have all the spaces they need and it all works

Though we are pretty good at getting most out of residential spaces and developments, we get also involved with other projects.
This expansion to early years nursery within a very constricted space was just recently completed.

This was a small project on a very constrained site. A new build detached dwelling for a family of four ticks all their boxes and we have just received an approval.
We took over from another designer following refusal of their scheme. Not only did we obtain an approval through careful consideration of external volumes and elevations, the proposed dwelling also achieves better spaces and layout within smaller, and hence cheaper envelope.

A few weeks back we were happy to finally receive an approval for a replacement new-build dwelling in Green Belt after a protracted planning process ending in an appeal. Nevertheless, the clients are pleased to be at last able to proceed with their dream vision and we loved supporting them along the way.

Last week we received a planning approval by DMC for a sizeable extension and remodel on a highly sensitive site. The application also included a new site access road. The existing property is locally listed and included in both conservation area and green belt.

We worked with the clients and planning and heritage officers to propose a solution that respects the sensitivity of the site while delivering the spaces for the client

The outdated modest house in highly sought after location should now get a modern makeover, accommodating a minimum of four en-suite bedrooms, an open plan living space with a gallery from the first floor landing and further reception rooms and ancillary spaces.

Thrilled with the unanimous approval of the residential scheme for 20 houses and 18 apartments in Leigh conservation area at the committee yesterday. It was long time coming after close cooperation with the planners and Groves Town Planning. Shout out to the very patient client as well 👏

With 2024 in full swing, we were pleased to finish last year with receiving planning permissions for two new-build dwellings in two separate locations in south Warrington. A four-bedroom and a three-bedroom detached houses are both infill developments in large private gardens.
