Thought I'd never see one of these Range powermax 155x again. Shocking boilers if not looked after. Thankfully most parts are now obsolete. These boilers are the reason im a gas engineer, had one in a house once, the guy that came out to fix it didn't have a clue. Charged me loads and still didn't fix it! Being an aircraft engineer knowing how things work is easy and easy to diagnose. Anyway , ripped this leaking, noisy time bomb out and replaced with a spanking top of the range ideal vogue with 12 year warranty. Beautiful bit of kit and the most reliable boiler I've come across since their introduction.

A testament to how good these boilers are, ideal vogue combi. 10 years old , been serviced every year. Nothing apart from a burner seal has been replaced. Literally not skipped a beat in 10 years. I fitted this in 2015 and done all bar 3 services. Just had a full strip service and new burner gasket fitted. Ideal vogue 12 year warranty on these now, best on the market imo.

It's not everyday the customer makes bacon , but when they do this is how it's done.

I'm a boiler breakdown specialist, always find and fix the problem. Repaired a few in last couple of weeks. Main heat exchanger leaking on an ideal. Cheaper to repair than replace. Replaced a vaillant boiler that was uneconomical to repair. Repaired a gloworm that had flooded, replaced the condensate pipework as this was thought to be the cause. Any make or model of boiler repaired or replaced. 14+ years experience.

A new boiler with 10yr parts and labour warranty fitted yesterday. The old ariston combi being uneconomical to repair.
All makes and models repaired or replaced. Up to 12 Yr warranty on selected boilers.
This one was fitted with new flue, plume management kit, system filter, hot water mini expansion vessel, limescale reducer and remote programmable thermostat.

I cannot stress how important it is to keep up with servicing of your gas appliances. Managed to save this boiler from the brink of self destruction, hadn't been looked at in years, it required a new fan, baffles, electrodes, various seals, a vent elbow and several hours of labour as I had to completely strip it to remove the corroded and melted internals.
Book now for a full strip and clean boiler service including new burner gasket seal kit, condense trap clean, system filter clean, flue gas measurement and adjustment. Most common makes inc new seals:
Worcester greenstar cdi / junior £90
Vaillant ecotec plus £95
Ideal logic or vogue £95
Message me for other makes as the price of seal kits vary.
I recommend a full strip every 5 years regardless of age or when installed.
Most of the time it's a basic service which includes:
Test gas service for leaks.
Test gas pressure at meter and boiler.
Clean condense trap.
Clean system filter.
Check operation of heating and hot water.
Check control functionality.
Test flue gas emissions.
Inspect flue.
All this for just £60.
