It's only 8am and the bees are going crazy for the Nepeta.

Just what I needed to see this morning while nursing a slight hangover!

The garden has suddenly sprung into life this week just in time for the hot weather and I couldn't be happier.

I think today will mostly be spent on my tatty old pallet chair snuggling with whichever dog or cat feels like gracing me with their presence. There will probably be tea. And biscuits.

How are you spending this glorious weekend?

I think I know why my Saxifrage died.

It was time for one of my favourite garden jobs today. I just love a good bit of mulching!

There are so many benefits to mulching. It can help to suppress weeds, retain moisture and improve soil structure. I happen to think it looks pretty spiffy too. 😎

The mulch I'm using is Magic Mulch from but you can also use compost or leaf mould.

I also found some tiny seedlings growing in my tool bag, think it might be time to give it a clean! 😳🌱

Trying to get this nutter to stay still for a photo is impossible!

She looked so cute smiling up at me from behind the Ficus, but of course, as soon as I reach for my phone she starts jumping around like a flea after one too many espressos.

She's off to get her booster this morning and then it's a day at my desk working on some garden designs.

Hi! Let me introduce myself. 😊

My name is Cheryl, although you may have guessed that already!

I am a proud fur mum to two ridiculous dogs and an equally ridiculous cat.

My favourite plant is a daffodil. I just love their happy little faces popping up in Spring. 🌼

I am a passionate veg grower and eater of crisps.

You could say horticulture is in my blood as I spent a good part of my childhood 'helping' my grandmother June grow her medal winning dahlias. Although that early experience mostly involved making a mess in her greenhouse I have been honing my skills ever since and can now proudly call myself a qualified gardener!

As well as my passion for gardening I am also very creative and have a keen interest in wildlife and nature which I love to share with others. With this in mind it seems inevitable that I would end up making a living by bringing my joy and knowledge into other peoples gardens and helping them to create beautiful and abundant spaces to spend time in.

Do you feel like you could benefit from my enthusiasm and experience? I would love for you to get in touch and let me help you to create your own little piece of paradise.
