Welsh Government has published two significant documents, aiming to fulfil the duties given to Welsh Ministers in the Environment (Air Quality and Soundscapes) (Wales) Act 2024:

🟠 Air quality awareness delivery plan for 2025–2028
🟠 Wales Air Quality Awareness Survey

Together these will shape how Wales communicates about air quality – including domestic burning.

Having worked with Welsh Government for several years on air quality strategy and through working groups, we also responded to the consultation on the Delivery Plan late last year, positioning HETAS and our network of registrants as constructive partners in improving both awareness and behaviours around wood burning.
