GROUND MAINTENANCE OPERATIVES – IMMEDIATE START

Cedarwood & Son Ltd are expanding rapidly and are now looking to recruit 4–5 Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our growing team.

We are delivering commercial grounds maintenance across multiple high-end sites and need reliable, hard-working individuals ready to start immediately.

Role Overview:
- Grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting and general grounds maintenance
- Working across commercial sites
- Operating machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Working as part of a professional team delivering high standards

Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Grounds maintenance experience preferred, but not essential
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions

🌿 We’re Hiring – Grounds Maintenance Operatives (Start 1st March 2026)

Company: Cedarwood & Son Ltd
Location: North Yorkshire

Cedarwood & Son Ltd is expanding! We’re looking to add a minimum of two skilled and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our friendly team ahead of the busy season.

You’ll be working outdoors across commercial and domestic sites — mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, weeding and general grounds maintenance — helping us deliver high-quality results all year round.

🕒 Contract Type - Annualised Hours

More hours - April to October (peak season)
Reduced hours between - November and March (winter period)
* Year-round employment with flexibility to match seasonal demand - contract based on 1920 hours per annum.

💷 **Pay:** £13–£15 per hour (based on experience)
📅 Start Date: 1st March 2026
📍 Area: Based in North Yorkshire – some overnight stays required, in Lake District, Wales & Newcastle)

We’re looking for:
✅ Reliable, punctual and hardworking individuals
✅ Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or similar
✅ Full UK driving licence (no more than 3 points – essential) please do not contact if this is not in place as you will be ignored.
✅ Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required
✅ Positive attitude and pride in quality work

Additional requirements:
🔹 Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check before starting.

* All tools, equipment and PPE provided

We’re currently working on a new landscaping project for The Wilf Ward Family Trust, laying porcelain tiles to create a clean, smart, and practical outdoor space.

The groundwork is coming along nicely — base prepared, levels set, and everything ready for the next stage. This one’s going to make a big difference once it’s finished.
