This birch was heavily covered in ivy and showing clear ground movement, which made straight felling unsafe.

The ivy added extra weight and concealed the structure of the tree, so sectional dismantling was the safest option.

Removed in stages to control load, direction and impact on the surrounding area.

Another job where assessment and method mattered just as much as the cutting.

When a tree fails, it doesn’t always fall where you’d like it to.
This one came down onto a roof, so removal had to be fully controlled using a MEWP and winching systems to prevent further damage and keep everyone safe on site.

Another job where planning and access made all the difference.

What is in my mind is the really worrying bad tree work that’s being carried out in Kent and the work that needs official planning permission being ignored.

Just some advice to all -

Tree work being carried out in conservation areas is illegal without permission. Tree work being carried out by people without insurance is illegal. Tree work being carried out by unqualified people is illegal and I just wish you all the best if you choose to go down the route.

Did you know we have to Loler all our kit every 6 months? If people are working with kits that aren’t lolered, they aren’t insured.
