This Cedar tree was removed for a client in Whittlesey, after it had completely overshadowed the front of the house and was spreading sap and leaves onto parked cars below.

The tree was partially dismantled to weight it towards the felling direction as a precaution, before being winched over and processed into logs.

All logs were removed from site shortly after the last picture and all is now clear.

Before and after shots of a small crown lift and reshaping on this Magnolia Tree in Whittlesey recently.

I love it when these trees look a more spherical shape. Incredibly satisfying to the eye.

Removal of a Sycamore tree, undermining a home in Thorney recently.

With BT lines running in and around the canopy, I dismantled the limbs strategically over and around the lines, leaving them completely untouched. The main structure was then dismantled with rigging ropes and lowered to the ground safely in sections.

Finally, the main stem was cut up, all logs removed from site, and to finish, the stump was treated with pellets. (As pictured)

Thankfully, cutting them back into shape is something I like to help out with.

A nice tidy up to this beautiful garden in the sun!

This was a hot few days to work in, but I’m really happy with the results.

The client needed crown reductions, some crown lifts, and reshaping to all the trees in their garden, with one tree to be removed and all overhanging branches cleared up to the fence line, so the surrounding homes wouldn’t be encroached upon.

Removing the damaged Locust tree on the right will allow the remaining trees to thrive with newfound access to the sunlight in that direction.

All logs were cut to wood burner size and stacked for the client to use through the winter.

I can’t wait to see what the garden looks like this time next year.

Worried about your Popler tree?

It's always great getting out some heavy rigging gear and dismantling a tree a section at a time. It's like a puzzle, with every tree shaped differently and requiring sometimes moving multiple rigging achor points to get the job done safely.

Thankfully in this Popler, i only needed one rigging point for most of the tree. Once i got to picture 3, with one remaining stem, it was down to blocking it, one piece at a time and making a new rigging point just below my forthcoming cut, over and over. A scary, but thrilling part of the job, as each massive piece you cut, freefalls, then instantly snags and shakes you about before it's lowered to the ground. Thankfully, i've always liked a bit of adrenaline, haha!

It's amazing what you can get done in a day with the right equipment, expertise and experience.

30% crown reduction and reshaping please!

These Aspen had been left unattended for many years and needed some love.

I worked on these as a climber for Willock Farm Services and was really happy with the finished result.

After the crown reduction, we deadwooded and did a small crown lift too, so the mowers had no troubles mowing the 'Wimblington Memorial Playing Field' where these amazing trees reside.

If you need an experienced climber for your trees, i'd be happy to help!

Ever have BT or power lines entangled in your trees?

Not a problem!

This Ash tree at St Marys Church was entagled with lines on one side. A small crown lift and some removal of deadwood throughout the canopy, has left the owner of the building below much more comfortable. All clear!

Also pictured, are the before and after, for the removal of a dead tree in the center and one tree encroaching on the church itself.

Overall, a much more open and inviting space for the people of Whittlesey to take in this beautiful area.

Crown reductions. Ohhh yeah!

It's always great to see one of these crown reductions through to completion. These Ash trees were blocking all the light to the garden and suffocating the surrounding area.

A 30% reduction in height, small crown lift, thinning, deadwooding and reshaping, has meant the inner parts of the tree are now thriving and the asthetics of the tree look fantastic too!

Unfortunetly, the closest Ash was already completed before I took these pics, but the rear Ash you can see the process in 3 stages.

I was really pleased with how this one turned out.

Take a look!

What a glorious day this was to be working outside!

Dismantling and felling of an overhanging Ash tree in Whittesey.

Sections rigged and lowered safely to the ground using a secondary anchor, then the remaining stem blocked until completion.

If a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing RIGHT!
