Anthurium Delta Force 🔥

Lord knows why this baddie isnt on my grid already 🥵
Had her for a while but lately she's been putting the work in 👀
Newest leaf still has a little sizing up to do but I couldn't wait any longer to snap some pics 😂
Can't wait to see how big she can get!

Alocasia Antoro Velvet 🖤

So proud of this furry little drama queen! 👸

Its been a long up hill battle with this one 🥴

No matter what i did or how many different methods I tried, I could not keep one of these alive for more than a couple weeks. Even the corms didn't want to take (which i usually have no problems with at all) 🤔

So when It came to the last one viable corm of the bunch of these i had, I thought id try it in fluval semi hydro. For months, nothing, no rot but 0 growth.

Then I opened my prop box the other week and found this! 🤩 She has of course graduated into her own pot now and I'm keeping a close eye on her as I still dont believe there won't be another tantrum in the future. But so far so good. 🤞

Ever had a plant that tests every last ounce of your patience? 😅🤣

Alocasia Simpo Albo Variegata 💚🤍

The first of a few new wishlist babies added to our personal collection to grow into mothers 🫶

This is definitely one of my favourites so far and she's growing quite quickly!

Philodendron Plowmanii Variegata 💚

Haven't shown this beauty much as her growth was a little slow but after a much needed repot she given 2 gorgeous new leaves which are huge in comparison to her older growth 👏

After 10.5 months of waiting, our Anthurium Clarinervium mother plant is ready for harvesting! 🤩💚

We've had quite a few question about this process so here's a little step by step of how to harvest and plant Anthurium seeds.

The length of time an anthurium takes to complete the pollination process depends on the type. Some take only 1 month and some up to 12! 😳

So, how do I know if the berries are ripe?
They change colour from green to orange/red or purple. Become very plump and soft to touch and will wobble with slight pressure. 🫐

Not all berries ripen at the same time so harvest in stages if needed. 🍊

Remove ripe berries, place them into cold water and pop the berry between your fingers. Some berries may have more than one seed.

Make sure to clean off any fruit material to reduce likelihood of the seeds rotting when planted.

Once you have your seeds you want to plant them asap for higher chances of viability. 🌱

Place seeds on top of damp spahgnum moss (or your preferred media) in a prop box with a lid. You want to lock in that humidity and place them somewhere warm (between 20-27°c) and bright to encourage fast root growth 🌞

Open the lid every few days to let in some fresh air and watch your seedlings grow into tiny baby anthurium 🥰🌿

Can't wait to see how these grow as we have no idea what this plant was pollinated with 👀🫣 We could end up with some funky looking Clarinervium Hybrid 😅 Updates as they grow.

After a much needed repot this beauty unfurled the most mesmerising leaf 😍
The size up is insane! Shes more than doubled in size and is finally showing off those dark moody tones and pink veins 🥵

The hype may have past and she may not be as rare but she's an absolute staple for any rare/ Variegated plant lover.
Super easy going, perfect for beginners and still absolutely jaw dropping 😍

My plant obsession began with one of these many years ago yet I still find as much joy in keeping them as I did back then 💚
