Curves were one of the standout kitchen trends we saw emerging from EuroCucina 2026 in Milan, but exceptional design and craftsmanship always have longevity.

This handcrafted KCA kitchen, designed many years ago, shows how curved forms can bring softness, flow and individuality into a space.

At the heart of the design is a bespoke curved breakfast island, complete with handcrafted integrated chopping boards and beautifully detailed joinery. A feature designed not simply to follow trends, but to create a kitchen that feels inviting, functional and completely unique to the homeowner.

It’s a reminder that a truly considered kitchen doesn’t date, it evolves.

Whilst warm, vibrant tones may be influencing 2026 interiors, we’re continuing to see homeowners grow in confidence with colour in their kitchen designs 💙💚

Blues and greens remain a timeless way to inject personality into a kitchen. From soft pastel blues and calming eucalyptus greens to rich racing greens and striking cobalt tones, colour is being embraced in a more refined and intentional way.

Paired with natural textures, warm metallic accents and layered lighting, these kitchens feel inviting, sophisticated and designed to stand the test of time, not just the latest trend.

Would you introduce colour into your kitchen design? We’d love to know 👇

It’s already been a month since the KCA design team visited Milan Design Week and but we’re still talking about curves.

We saw curved design throughout the exhibition, from sculpted walnut kitchens to fully curved islands and cabinetry. Häcker’s stand stood out with curved details, reeded oak, intricate joinery, and new bedroom furniture collections. As an official Häcker supplier in the UK, it was exciting to see these innovations at the event.

Other highlights included hidden extractors, almost-hidden sinks, brass-framed fabric doors, mirrored finishes, secret doors, stone mitre detailing and Miele’s new outdoor cooking range. Plenty of inspiration to bring into future KCA projects.

Looking back at past projects that continue to inspire ✨

This bespoke drinks and coffee station was thoughtfully positioned between the kitchen, dining space, and garden to create a natural flow throughout the home. Designed to feel both practical and social, it brings people together while making the most of the garden views beyond.

Soft blue shaker cabinetry, warm oak shelving, and layered textures against a darker backdrop create a striking focal point within the open-plan layout.

This beautiful in-frame shaker kitchen perfectly balances classic craftsmanship with understated luxury. The traditional mantel frames the statement range cooker beautifully, while soft oat-toned cabinetry, aged brass hardware, and oversized stone flooring create a calm, elegant feel throughout the space.

Natural light pours through the leaded windows onto the farmhouse sink and handcrafted cabinetry, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Thoughtful storage makes a kitchen 🌟

This fitted pantry combines warm walnut cabinetry with practical internal storage, giving everything its place, from everyday essentials to entertaining favourites. Open shelving keeps items visible and accessible, whilst deep drawers below provide concealed storage for larger or less frequently used items.

A few pantry design tips we recommend:

• Plan shelving heights around the items you use most to avoid wasted space
• Incorporate integrated lighting so everything is easy to find, even at the back of the cupboard
• Use deep drawers below for heavier items such as utensils, appliances and bulkier pantry essentials
• Combine open shelving with concealed storage to keep everyday items accessible whilst maintaining a clean, uncluttered look
• Consider natural timber finishes to bring warmth and texture into the kitchen design
