DECLUTTER, RESET, RELOCATE….THIS CABIN IS ON THE MOVE!

My clients mission was to clear this cabin out so it can be repaired and moved elsewhere in her garden.

We worked for 6.25 hours to achieve this huge transformation.

We separated items into donate, sell, list for free and dump.

Gradually, we emptied the cabin and sorted through everything that was in there.

This sort of job can be really hard to do on your own as it just feels too big.

I was delighted to be able to help her achieve what she needed to so this cabin can be repaired and then used in its full glory.

WORKING THROUGH DELAYED DECISIONS

It’s easy to start dumping things in a room and say “I’ll get round to sorting that out” and before you know it that room become unusable.

It then becomes so big and so messy that you just don’t know where to start.

This happened to my client and once we started peeling back the layers the decisions became easier.

We started by categorising everything which took up a lot of space so we spread out everywhere!

This was a multi functional room so we split the back section into a craft area, middle into games and front area mostly books and photos.

This was a big undertaking as this room was really big and it was so exciting seeing its potential unravelling. What we ended up with a wonderful usable large space flooded with light which I hope will make them happy each time the open the door

THREE DECADES
ZERO WEARS
A FREEING GOODBYE 👋

A real decluttering win of the day was donating this black coat that my client had had for 30 years, but never worn.

She kept it as she really loved it on the hanger but not on herself. When she told me this, I placed it on the back of the door and said let’s come back to it when we’ve finished sorting your wardrobe. She dug deep and decided it was time to part with it and let someone else enjoy wearing it.

We had such a productive few hours together and achieved a huge amount in her wardrobe.

Everything is now within an easy reach and I’m sure she’ll find the process of getting ready in the morning and exciting one now rather than a daunting one.

10 bin liners of clothes were donated today 👏🏼

600 BOOKS DONATED….A FRESH CHAPTER STARTS HERE 📕

It’s hard to believe this many books came out of one office but when they’re double stacked, it’s amazing how easily they stay hidden.

These were solo sessions for me, while my client worked from home and popped in when needed to make decisions along the way.

An office should feel productive, efficient, and calm, a space that allows for a clear mind and focused work.

We also created room for some very special memory boxes. Taking the time to gather these meaningful items and give them a proper home, where they can be revisited and appreciated, felt really important.

Alongside this, we uncovered a lot of old tech that needed sorting. Everything has now been brought together, ready for my client to go through with her children at a later date.

And of course, the biggest win… 600 books donated to charity. Ready to be enjoyed and loved again, while supporting such worthwhile causes.

PLAY TIME CAN COMMENCE! 👏🏼

Knowing where everything belongs is never more important than it is for children.

An organised, clearly labelled play area makes tidying up simple and suddenly, it’s no longer a battle.

By making the most of every inch of space (including that fabulous large cupboard), this area now works so much more effectively.

A place for everything, and everything in its place.

Now there’s room on the floor to play, and it’s exciting for my client’s child as they can see exactly what toys they have and enjoy them so much more.

LOFT SORT OUT

When you just can’t find the motivation to do it yourself call someone who will bring bags of motivation with them! (That’s me btw)

We spent four hours lifting and shifting stuff in the loft today and my client was so quick at making decisions we managed to get loads out and sorted.

Tax is all organised in year order, memory boxes set up, grandkids toys waiting to be enjoyed….just super 🙌🏻

It was such an absolute pleasure to do this sort and we achieved SO much in just 4 hours 👏🏼

Making a playroom playable is only achieved when your children know what’s in it and where their stuff is.

Having a home 🏡 for everything really is crucial otherwise it can easily become messy and just not fully utilised.

We went through all categories and donated the items my clients children didn’t play with anymore as also set up a ‘maybe’ box 📦 of items she was unsure about. That way her kids could make choices too.

It was really lovely to overhaul the craft ✍️area and make room for the hamsters 🐹 items to get them off the floor.

Another highlight was labelling 🏷️everything up as then EVERYONE knows where items go so no excuse at tidy up time!

Utility Room dreams right here! 👇

Functional, practical and has a lovely personal touch too.

4.5 hours later we sorted through the large cupboard, cleaning cupboard, surfaces and floors. We also gave it a good clean too.

We emptied 7 bin liners of stuff from here and majority of it made its way to the charity shop.

Keeping systems simple means they work!!

There’s no need to overcomplicate organising.

Finding the right system to suit, you can be a challenge at times.

Stay curious, try different things and just find something that works for you.

Don’t pass GO ➡️ Just do it N O W!!!!!! Right now🚨

If it’s a super quick 🏃job press pause for a couple of minutes and get it done straight away.

This brings you a nice little dopamine hit and gives you a sense of achievement 🥇and that will hopefully keep spurring you on to do more.

When we keep doing these tiny micro tasks it means the to-do list is shorter and our headspace is freerer.
